can anyone tell me how to unlock each map for free battle? and whats the point of maps like Mortis fons A and B when its the EXACT same thing?

Offline free battle: You unlock maps by playing Story Mode.
Online free battle: This appears to be set on the server, so Sonic Team must load new map.
