I just recently got a WaveBird, and I noticed the advisory/warning on using the WaveBird with PSO...

Is there really any risk of playing PSO with the Wavebird? And if there IS any risk...what exactly am I risking by using it?

Thanks.

Its ok as long as you are not typing in your credit card info near a different game cube. So if that person is in the payment setting they could steal your credit card info (1 in 999999999999999999 chances of happing).

I have use my wave bird for a long time and have never had any problems.

The only thing you risk is the Government stealing your Wavebird signals and using them for world domination. Other than that, there isn't anything to worry about.

Dont worry, you'll be fine...that whole risk is just people being over-parinoid.

During certain lunar phases, the signal from your wavebird can cause your memory card to pop right out of the Nintendo. It also starts fires.

If you really want to be safe, meh, just plug in a standard controller for the personal information.

Of course people would be wondering... omigosh my controller is moving on its own, my GC is possessed!

Indeed, Psycho Mantis can not only move the Dual Shock controller, but the Wavebird too. AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE TWIN SNAKES IS ON THE GAMECUBE! Man, that guy's tricky.

The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't go thru flesh and bones very well. I'll have it in my lap at times, and the signal won't go thru my legs to the reciever on the floor.

Really? That's too bad, the first time I got to play with one I had to experiment a bit and I was about a block away when it stopped working.

You know, I've thought about the whole 'other video games with DDR mat' thing, but for most games it wouldn't really work. Be a hell of a workout, though.

I'm safe, I live in the middle of suburbia with nothing but a bunch of old people around.
