oddly, the trees have been up for a few days now.

but there seems to be a glitch (only in certain lobbies?). today only the trees were showing up, but you could only see the curatains when warping out of a room. then they would dissapear.

It is a traditional Japanese "ohanami" (flower viewing) thing. In the old times for nobilities and the like I believe they get these curtain things set up so they can sit down and take pleasure in viewing the blooming sakura trees, while eating, watching entertaining dances and such.

When you mention the Cherry Blossom festival, I'm guessing that you mean the GCN version not the Xbox. Cause I haven't seen anything new in the lobby lately on the Xbox version.
