Corrupted Files!

I just got the dreaded file corruption warning today. I didnt delete the files yet does any1 know some possible way to keep my files from getting deleted?
Why me!!!! I dont wanna lose my 99 and 73 ;[

iv got that message twice, i just power off the console and turn it back and it was fine, hasnt happened to me since,ofcourse i only play offline so i wouldnt know what to do if it were to happen online,FSOD?

i play offline too, gamecube, i tried just restarting, hasnt worked ;[

well that was happening to me alot.
try pulling out the mem card and if the bottem strip of the metel is dark and not shiny get a new one quickly.
or still get a new one and save your items by taking and kepping the card out for about 2 days and put it in.
mine works once each time I do that,
