Unlikely Friendship? (2004 Edition)

You know you have one or two. Now is the time to fess up.

Who are the people here at PSOW (or in real life) you didn't expect to become friends with?

Note: This isn't a "I'll never like you" thread, this is a "I never considered myself becoming friends with this person, but I did" thread.


For me, I thought that D55 and I were going to be bitter enemies until the end, but after a few political debate threads, we realized how well we debated together as a team. After that, we became buddies.

Another person here is Lolita. I remember when I used to have strong contempt for her, but then I realized that she wasn't as bad as I first thought. Now we are friends.

In real life my best female friend, who I will call Sue, was a person I thought I would argue with constantly. That obviously wasn't the case.

Do people like me on PSOworld? I don't really consider anyone an enemy on here. Not sure if I ever doubted I'd like people. I am questionable with sanjifire sometimes, that might be sibling, pet, and videogame rivialry though.

Well, the friendship I've had with Mitch since last October has been surprising as all hell.

Now, here on the boards... I'm guessing anybody who doesn't piss me off too much is my friend. Off the top of my head, _Ted_ and I seem to hit it off... then again, most of the people here on the board I don't argue with so I guess were all friends?

Quick On Topic, other than a few problem children, I can safely say that I consider quite a few of the members of the site "acquantances" and a couple others actual "friends". Not that I've met any other PSOW-ite IRL, but still.

Falling was amazing too, and I'll give you that its arguably there best album, one of my fave's too. The only thing that I liked SFAM so much, well theres two reasons. One that's the album where I really got into DT with, well got back into. And secondly I really like the whole rock-opera theme of the album. I liked how they told a really grandious story like that through the album. BTW have you checked out train of thought?

It's actually really good, a bit darker and grittier then there older stuff, but a good next step for the band.

I just saw them tonight as a matter of fact. They pulled the eavening with DT, the double set show again. It was really good, lotta old stuff, lotta FFII and even some stuff of When Day and Dream Unite.

Really though Ness... You want an example of friendship, even though we managed to completely derail the thread and get it tossed into FKL, just consider that I've only been active here since November. And in that time I've managed to cultivate in-jokes, scheme plans for world domination, and really make quite a few online friends. This place is a great community, whether it's someone that still plays one of the games or not.

Darn, missed the Phoenix date, and I wont be back in Japan to see them either. Looks like I have to wait for next tour. Luckily, they ARE a touring band, so it should only be a year. I want to see them with Spock's Beard again. Those guys were great too.

It's not that I don't like them, on the contrary: They're some of the first best names that come to my mind when thinking about PSOW members. They're unique and have their own charismatic personality which is seen all over the threads.
