Ahh Im Complaining..

Im sure you folks listen to the Radio, in the car... and such... though...

Have you noticed they play the same Songs OVER AND OVER?

I know this from one station especially (Baltimore People know this station... 106.5) Has played the song "My Immortal" by Evanesence like 4 times in one day~

2:00am, 6:00am, 6:00pm and sometime past 10:00pm (All EST times) AND i heard it again THIS morning?

if you want a station that plays generic songs over and over, and your anywhere in the U.S., try Radio Disney, AM 126.0 now they play the same songs over and over

^ I'm with Ian. And other people who don't listen to the radio. I can't stand what they play on it anymore, really. So I get burned CDs from friends, etc, etc...

I have to deal with listening to rap in the morning, or Mariah Carrey. (No offense to those who like rap as a style, or Mariah Carrey). But when I hear about how someone is going to bust into someone's house, rape his wife, and kill his family, I tend to have a bad case of morning sickness... (Yes, my sister listens to something that had those exact things in it. I am not descriminating). One thing's for sure, it wakes me up and makes me want to actually get to school...

every radio station does it. if you listen long enough, your gonna hear the same song you heard at 11a.m., at 4:30p.m.. some stations dont do it as often as others, but the all do it.

Yeah, 106.5 does that... and it's counterpart 107.3 in DC. I usually listen with my headphones on with one ear off so I can listen for ambulances and stuff, but I change from 95.1 (Orchestra), 97.9 (98 Rock), 99.1 (WHFS), 101.9 (Lite 102), 106.5 (WMIX), and 107.3 (forgot the station but its DC) and whatever the oldies station is...


Yeah, I remember when said they play music in the 80s, 90s, and today!

At work, during the week, they play three different stations over the course of the week (oldies station on Monday, country on Tuesday and Thursday, and classic rock on Wednesday and Friday). The country station is the worst offender, as I have heard that annoying Kenny Chesney(sp?)/Uncle Kracker song 4 times in one day (I work 8 hours a day). Not to mention there's several other songs they will repeat a bunch as well (like that stupid Brad Paisley song...I do not like much country at all, so this really annoys me). The other two stations don't do this, thankfully (and even if I hear a song I heard the other day on one, I'll only hear it once that whole entire day).

I have to put up with the radio at work unless I'm by a machine that is really loud. Maybe on Tuesdays and Thursdays I should see if the boss will put me on hard machines so I won't even pay attention to the music >_<

I listen to internet radio, does that count? They do the same thing though. I can be listening to something like radiostorm, and the same dam song will come on every hours, I'm like wtf? its the internet, they shouldn't repeat songs except once a year!

AM Talk Radio is what I listen to. More entertaining, less boring, less repetative. Actually worth something too. If I want music I listen to my own, not what some DJ chooses for me.

I'd say just to keep in mind a few things.

1: A lot of those stations play requests. They play what people ask for and, when they don't play requests, they usually play what is popular. You can't damn them for that because that's what gets them listeners and THAT is why they're in business.

2: Four or even five times in a day is not that much, all things considered. They are accounting for the fact that not many people will be listening to the radio at all of those times.

...but I won't.
