Beyblades.

What. The. Fuck.

What is the point in that BS? Near as I can tell, it combines old-school tops, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh. Apparently you "battle" them or something...

How stupid could people get?

At least Yu-Gi-Oh had a cool premise, and was actually a fun card game...

Glorified tiddlywinks. Of course. I got some for my birthday, once. I took my time, but I lost each and every one of them. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Does anyone here play Beyblades? If so, WHY?

I hate some of these people that are racist, I see some 11th graders playing the game and say, why do jewish people think they invented the dradle! Japan did! Man, then they started calling them homosexuals, I am not jewish but still. Sometimes I just wanna go up to those type of people and smack em in the face.

Er? Wrong thread, I think...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif You want the American History X thing...

Anywho. Nothing wrong with Pogs or Beyblades, they may somehow be...fun. But how stupid can the game makers be? Giving us shit like this?

I want more PSO action figures. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

i'm guilty. They were fun at first, but slowly got boring. Now i only play if my bros demand it. Basically what it is, is there are three parts, your top peice (this can affect how your tops effect other ones), your weight (this will determine spin length if you understand the concepts of momentum, and also defence, but heavier ones make it harder for a fast spin), and the bottom peice that touches the gound (this detimes how your top moves on the board, such as wide or small circle, or in one place, or in any random direction.) If you take out all the show and spirit crap, it can actually be highly addictive. I got kids my age hooked on these things. It's just fun to collect various types (even though it's like 2 bucks a top) and mix them all up and see what you get.

P.S. turns out my bros are playing beyblades as we speak

I wouldn't mind having a Beyblade. I could hide the thing into my pocket and chuck it at people. Have you ever weighted one of these things?! I bet you could fracture a skull with that!!!

only problem is, Dradle and Beyblades is completely diffrent.

Dradle - predict what symbol will land face up

Beyblades - spin two tops in an arena and either A.) knock your opponent out, or B.) whare your opponents top down till it stops spinning

also, some history on the game. It was origanally just two big lunky tops you wrapped a string around. You would then whip it like a yoyo (but horizontaly) in a cirle. The top would spin of the string, and then yours and your opponents top would clash. The ring was often just a circle of chalk made on lat ground.

also for Kodia, there is a top called "Metal Dracial." Considering the dracial series is the heaveist for defence, and the metal dracial is actually metal, you might want to throw that one at somebody http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

There is a quote by P.T. Barnum... (not exact)... 'Riches can be made by the stupidity of the public'

i actually took the time to ask some of the kids in my apartment complex about this (they play right outside my apartment door, since i tend to keep my 'porch' devoid of random stuff)

to quote the 'leader' of the kids: "Its fun to make new beyblades and see if their strategy is better than the others"

when i heard this, i literally got one of those eyetwitches. how exactly is there starategy in it? you get the most stable bottom, the heaviest body thing, and the most disruptive top part. according to physics, as long as youre strong enough to get it going at a decent speed, it will spin in that one spot forever, and the best "offensive" part just makes it so youe not just a sitting tank. i fail to see the strategy in it.

i digress, if the kids find it fun, then good for them. far be it from me to be a buzzkill just because i dont share the same interest as them.

Bah. Beyblades. Worst. Fad. Ever.

Pokemon, the games were actually fun. The show, movies and toys were what kept it going for the younger ones, but I still like the Pokemon games. Like Colloseum is good http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Yu-Gi-Oh had some freakishly cool dragons http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Beyblades... is stupid. You don't make a show about spinning tops http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

That's why I'm happy to be in High School now... last year I was in Grade 8. ALL OVER THE PLAYGROUND THERE WAS BEYBLADES!!! And 90% of them played on the pavement: And cryed when their precious, "Blades," broke upon impact. But hey, they shouldn't cry. They've got rich mommies and daddies to pay for it all. In fact, they also bought that 56" TV, Gamecube, 3 controllers, 5 memory cards and the Beyblades game just to go into your room. Now you say you're happy with your parents divorcing. Yes, I bet you are.
