Hey this is just a quick question on behalf of a friend whos going online. he can plug his Broadband adapter straight into his modem so does he still need a crossover cable or just the basic 10-BaseT/100-BaseTX cable.

What does his http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/pclaptop.gif use? Does his http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/pclaptop.gif hok up to the modem directly?

If he is planning to hook up the GC/XBox the same way as the http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/pclaptop.gif, you only need the type of cable that the http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/pclaptop.gif uses.

If he is connecting his GC directly to the modem then use a standard ethernet cable. The only time you need a crossover cable is when you need to directly connect 2 machines together on a network. If he wants to share his connection without the cost of a router (so he can play PSO and surf the web at the same time), he can pick up a cheap hub and use that.
