I personally liked the series. It had a lot of crappy episodes, but in overall was a good job.

That is, for the ORIGINAL japanese version. I don't think I can say the same thing about the Sonic X which passes in Fox Kids, since they took out the j-pop soundtrack and didn't use the same voices from the games.

To all those who didn't like the anime, watch the original season 2 version. And cross your thingers for Season 3.

The animation is currently airing on, among others, Fox Box in the US, TF1 in France and ITV in the UK. It is also broadcast on Fox Kids Europe, which offers Sonic X worldwide through its cable and satellite channels.The European platform is also preparing to bring the show to Scandi countries, Israel and a raft of Asian territories.

Hope this includes Australia. ^.^

It was a horrible show in the U.S, so I got the Japanese versions with subtitles. Much better. WAY better. Damn FCC having to censor stupid things and change cool lines because 'its for kids'.

Where did you get the original, Spike? Is it from a reliable source? Do they have all the episodes from Season 1 and 2?

TV rips from a DVD burned by my friend in japan who mailed it to me. I watch it on my reigion-free DVD player.

I know a lot of options, but they either:

- Don't have the original DVDs
- Don't have english subtitles
- Don't have a lot of volumes available
- Don't have a good reputation

4Kids productions is notorious for releasing DVDs only in their edited form and only in English, French, and Spanish. Best chance for a subtitles and otherwise unedited version being comercially relesed, which are very slim, are Pioneer (known for getting exclisive right for such purposes, Ex. Card Captor Sakura and Sailor Moon), and ADV (They had the liscence for the original Sonic OAV, could make it easier for them to get one for a subtitled Sonic X release).

As for amature subtitlers, I personally haven't kept up with this scene. I do know a friend of a friend that translates Japanese, and did so for Vandread.

The English version is crap. Knuckles is stupid, Eggman is stupid, his goons are stupid, the butler is stupid, the kid's parents are stupid, Amy is stupid, pretty much everyone is stupid, except for Tails, whose only flaw is his crappy voice. And Shadow and Gamma aren't on (yet)!

Sorry Raven, but that was one funny post. "Everyone's stupid"! Well, I guess Sonic is now aimed at a young public nowadays, so the dubbing team worked in that sense.

That's why the original is better.

I do beleive its a childrens cartoon. Why are you watching it if you think its stupid? I think a show with a physicaly inacurrate ekidna(I sooo spelled that wrong) would be for a younger audience.
