a tip please

i want to try the pipe trick for ruins to find them red lillys on v'hard, do i just find a room where there is a bunch of lillys and just keep pipeing untill i find one?
any tips?
i know about the page that tells you so dont post look here

First of all, rare lillys appear in Caves. Yes, just find a room with a lot of them, and then keep telepiping or ryukering back and forth. I'd suggest doing the quest Addicting Foods and finding a 4 lily room or the 6 lily room and piping there. Good Luck with your Nar Lily hunt

yep, thats right, go searching in ruins for them. ruins dont got no lillies, silly. go to caves and you may just be able to find 'em.

Are you thinking about the temple or the caves? they both have lillies and can both find nar lillies (the red ones) but both have different drops. So use the 'item findings' and look for your sect ID and find what u need there. There are plenty of rooms in each temple and caves where you can pipe with 3 lillies in the room, just find one and start pipin. Chance of finding a rare lily is 1/512, so each time a lily comes in, there is a 511/512 chance it will be normal. So if you pipe at a group of 6 lillies, there is a 6/512 chance you will get a Nar.

say you have one in a room your chances are 1/512
if you have 2 in a room your chances are 2/1024 & so on, its all the same.

If you pipe one rappy at a time, that is the ONLY rappy that can change. If you pipe 6 at a time, then all 6 have a possibility to change. Meaning, all 6 of the rappies each have a 1/512 chance at becoming rare. Thats 6 different times you get the chance, rather than 1.


EDIT: 1/4 + 1/4 = 2/4. You DO NOT add the denominators. So in your equation 1/512 + 1/512 the correct answer is 2/512, not 2/1024

oops i think i worded it wrong, no the more you have in a room doesnt make it harder to find, all i meant to say is that.no matter how many there is,its all the same, its just luck when u will come across one, i mean iv piped with 2 rappies 3 times and got a love rappy 3 times within 10 pipes, iv piped with 9 Lily's i na room for an hour + and still nothing.

Just because your personal experience goes against the laws of probability does not make them correct. Look at it like this. On average, for every 512 times you see an el rappy, one will be a pal rappy. Now if you pipe a room with one rappy then, on average, it will take 512 pipes. If you pipe a room with 8 el rappies then, on average, it will take about 64 pipes. Now do you understand?

yeah iv always understanded that, im just saying in my pso life things dont work that way, i always seem to find them with less of one enemy,thats just the way the game works for me, im sure it does the same for a few other people out there too.
