I just reached 300 hours of play today, over the course of my three cube characters. This makes, including my old dc chars, about 425 hours of play total. It probly isnt very much at all compared to you multiple level 200 vets, but its an accomplishment for me.. i get sick of RPGs fast. If i hadnt found this site and found about about rares, lol.. i woulda quit after normal mode. What are your hours?

1600 ish hours isn't much considering how long the games been out for which is a year and a half or so, and sure people have a lot of hours on this game, probaly because they have a lot of spare time or because it's an addictive and fun game...

And i know there are a lot of gamers outside PSO who have spent as much time on other games as well as this... and that's a large majority of people... and your calling all them losers too... and i suppose you'd call someone a loser if they spent 3000 hours of their lifes model making or drawing...

as much as I love the game, I agree with primer. Some games just suck the life out of you, PSO was one of them(when I had it on DC). But...even then I only played late at night when I probably had nothing better to do. Now, believe it or not, I only have access to playing PSO by going to my friends house(who lives 5 miles south of where I do) and playing offline(I bought the game for Xbox and I don't actually own one!). It is a VERY addicting game. I understand if you have a lot of hours because you really have nothing better to do or it's like winter or something. And besides, it can keep kids from doing bad things...like drugs and alcohol. Therefore, it can be a good thing. But...that's too late for me

who said anything about 6months straight? 3 months straight...summer vacation i can get on 3 hours a day of sleep...usually i didn't sleep for 48-72 hours straight and then slept as i do now..it's how i function...as for eating and chatting on this forum...i ate while i played and i forums i would check only briefly and then sign back on or mess with codes for it...I didn't chat on this site at all...it didn't exist back then...

Erm, incidentally, I used to stay awake over periods of 60 hours+ and sleep 6/7 hours then, a few years back. It's a severe sleep disorder, and it takes months of therapy to heal.

Now, I clocked 600 hours on ff8 in one month (from day one in February until march the 14th of 1999)... do the math.
Since those games' clocks don't count the time spent playing, but only the time spent while using your character, he could have let his DC or GC run all the time and he would have clocked just as many hours, btw. So he could have eaten while letting the game go on, and heck even let it run while he was sleeping if he ever wanted to.

I totalize 650 hours among 4 characters. Racaseal lv 100 on V1 (173 hours), the rest are V2 characters. I've just cleared Ultimate with my Humar at 195 hours. I'm at 169 hours with the Fonewearl (lv 100) and slightly over 110 hours with my Huneweral (lv 79).

I totalize 650 hours among 4 characters. Racaseal lv 100 on V1 (173 hours), the rest are V2 characters. I've just cleared Ultimate with my Humar at 195 hours. I'm at 169 hours with the Fonewearl (lv 100) and slightly over 110 hours with my Huneweral (lv 79).

that's not the point tho, his gamecube should be broken by now.
if it's on 21-24 hours a day, it would have definately broken down by now!

as for staying up for 60 hours straight, all that takes is lots of caffeine but doin it for 3 months straight seems highly undoubtable.

actually i stay up a lot out of shear boredom..and i ate while playing..called snacking...3 months straight is easy when you are on Summer vacation, ever hear of it?

it's easy to stay up alot, even without caffiene. in fact the human body is made to be on 36 hour days with only 4 hours of sleep...given that fact 72 hours with 9 hours of sleep is well within good health of human body...eating answered..staying up answered...sleeping answered..bathroom...well you dont expect me to turn on and off my system for 5 min breaks do ya?

So the last thing you asked is about the console...first it was DC, not GC...even if it was GC the following applies...Consoles are made to be left on for many days and if you knew anything about them and took care of them you'd know that. only the old consoles did not have internal components to keep it running...in fact PS2 satys on always and my X-Box has been on for nearly 2 weeks now. No decay in processes...You are prolly one of those people that take out the game after playing it and all like that...the sad thing is that wears the console down more tan actually using it, and so many people do it.

I always leave my gamecube on all night, when I'm in the middle of quests or at the end of ruins, so I have no idea how many hours I've played.

Hmm... Toughy, have deleted so many characters, remade, and on multiple systems. I am going to guess 6000+ hours total. Summer vacation does that, and I intend to do it again this year. Moved here a year ago and not many people know me. My friends play PSO so it is what I do to meet with them. Also, I do go outside, allergies make it annoying though. And some people don't like sports, ne? Just like how some people don't like videogames. FF8 was released the 12th of February 1999 IIRC, but I'm not sure anymore, so I just wrote "from day 1". 12th of February 1999 until 14th of March 1999 : 30 days. ^_^

Besides, a sleep disorder is a serious disease, it's not like you can do this on purpose, your body just doesn't let you "fall" asleep. You tend to go numb, get sight troubles, hallucinations, but you can't sleep. It's VERY annoying.

As for the GC going kaboom, it'd take more time than 3 lousy days. PCs can run several months straight...
