is there any way that i can give ST a credit card number for the payment of online other then through the website or the GCN. Like a phone number or somthing? Because my mom thinks that our number will be stolen through the website.

your credit card number is much more likely to be stolen when you use it in a shop, people can copy the number or take a second swipe of your card. also people can check through old receipts/bills that you throw away.
over the phone, how do you know that the person you are giving the number to isnt also taking down the details for themsleves?
online is probably one of the safer methods at the moment.

thanks thats what my dad thinks it was stolen from a store(our old credit card we used for online). And some one has told me before that the html means like hyper text somthing or other to protect it but there is no convincing my mom!

The new fad of stealing credit card numbers these days are using cellphone cameras... so be careful of that.
