how the hell do i go about doing this? i have a PC, and a vga box.. so after i hook my dc up to the monitor then what? somone help me out please http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

I don't think that's going to work... Unless the VGA box patches through the video card of your computer (I don't exactly know how the VGA box works, but I assume it hooks directly to a monitor)... What you need is a Video card on your PC with a TV tuner. You patch the DC video through that video card and play it on the monitor that way. To grab screenshots you'd press the print screen (PrtScn) button to copy the current screen to the clipboard. Then you'd go into an image editor (Adobe Photoshop and Jasc Paint Shop Pro are good choices) and paste the image. Viola. Using a video card with a TV tuner, you can also record video captures if you have the proper software. You'll have to ask someone else about that if you're interested. I'm clueless in that department.
