View Full Version : Do you really need that much ATP?

Uncle_bob

Seriously, do you?

You have 300% to one attribute, 3 100% weapons, etc. Do you really need to use those items, use an AR, and multi!? Mahgawd! You guys are doing well over 2,000 per hit easily, why even play in ult? You don't really care much about leveling, hell, you're probably level 200 infact!

Why not just play on normal mode, it'd make things that much easier ya know, heh. And atleast ask people before you pull out your lame equipment when you join their teams.

More proof that its not the size (or amount) of something, its how you use it. Heh.

My melee FOnewearl is the perfect example. She has a max ATP of 583. And she survived Ultimate Seabed offline, with long drawn-out battles. Give any average PSO cheater the ability to do seabed, ultimate, and they'd get owned within 5 minutes... even with that uber-hacked BKB.

Welcome to a PSO forum.
Thank you for visiting.
Goodbye.

Yeah Uncle, it can be unnecessarily annoying.
Sort of like the EP3 ranked 1400 and level 12
sitting in lobbies spamming "SOMEONE HOW DO YOU HACK PSO 3?" and asking for free cards.

I have absolutely no idea why some people are doing this. Some I've heard because it's cool... or their friends are doing it... or they just want to show off on how much damage they can do. I personally don't care on the topic. Yeah most monsters do die from a swing or two or three while I'm still running to the enemy trying to get one hit.

But I see your point, they are taking the fun away at what the game is pointing at.

Yea..and people should NEVER EVER EVER bitch about GC ULT being hard. These guys are panzies compared to how DC ULT was. :/

Well, in some ways yeah.
DC Ult was definitely much more difficult at lower levels.
Once you break the defense barrier on DC Ult though, it's a lot easier than on ver.3 Ult... but that's a different topic altogether.

I will never forget those poor players trying to use a BKB on Olga Flow's first form. Truly a sad day.

Some people are just pressed with little times these days. I'm sure people would beat Ultimate without cheating and stuff if they had time to do it, but mostly everyone tries a little way on getting the easy way sometimes. I know ultimate mode takes a long time to get to because of all the leveling and the tweaking (if you had stuff), but for some people, they're like 'going through normal, eh, I already had enough of this, cheat, then go to the easy stuff and beat it then get bored with it.'

I cheat with rpgs because I don't have the time anymore, but with PSO, I make time, so I don't cheat. I tweak a lot and I'm saving my rares now 'cause I've been corrupted so many times (7, not a lot to some), and starting from 0 is a long time.

---

I, for a fact, have not played on DC Ultimate though many of my friends said it was "hard as f---!" I'll believe them. When I went to Ultimate for the first time, I got killed on the first hit x_x (which was a critical) though sometimes when you die a lot you can get frustrated and it just eats away at your time trying to do forest 1 over and over and over and over again. 66 -> 115 (yeah, forest 1 & 2, and sil dragon)... next day corrupted, back to lvl 1.

---

So what does this topic have to do with people needing so much strength, I dunno. I'm trying to find an answer as much as you guys want one as well. Even if I don't know the question, I'll make educated guesses.

Dc pso ult was a piece of cake with my Srank Needle and hucast with maxed atp.

As for using 300% stuff. I love playing with those morons. Pulls out Vulcan 50% hit with hucast base atp of 1500+. Do they really think they'll even be able to make it over to that enemy before I've killed everything in the room.

That much correct grammar in one sentence is far too much to expect of them. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Heh, anyways, I really hate it too. I play in locked games, and that fixes it, but the thing that really gets me mad is that we SHOULDNT HAVE TO. If the haxors and dupers wanna cheat, they should be the ones playing in small groups in locked games, away from the people who play the game how it is supposed to be played! Meh, its way too much to ask.

I was surprised to find myself today playing a game with people doing the same damage as me (my mag is lvl 130 15/50/65/0 or something like that) and the guys I was playing seemed legit even though they seemed to have common duped mags. Then one of the guys asked "how do you kill a dubchic 'cause I keep killing them and killing them and they still come back to life." Someone replied the answer without telling him/her a n00b.

I guess this guy plays online too much. He/she was still cool. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Maybe some people are just combo-inept?

I'll stand there with my HUmar, attempting to blast away enemies with mechguns and mess up 1/3 combos.

That's when you'll hear me yelling.

Back on my noob-ish DC days, I would be the stupid person asking how to kill Dubichs (Dubichics?).

But yeah, I hate it when peeps are yelling: "Hey, we have to open this door!" when it's a four person switch.

... Especially when we have 3 players in the room.

Sad thing is, it is mainly the mar classes that get these folks. It has become rather bad in this respect. Ruined some decent classes it has. Of course what is annoying is the ones who figure out, 'Hey, those Charge Vulcans are strong, I want 'em.' Then they get them with 50+ Hit and spam with those. I can see using those on, say, Baranz and whatnot. But geez, on Bartles?

Uncle only does that when some n00ber is using a BKB (Like that happened tonight), he tries to kill everything before they can whack away at it for 1000 per hit. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif

Or when the area is just being leigmne.

Yesh, but the (mass) dupers never found it as a potentially powerful weapon. Note, it's never been duped for a negative cause. I only have a dupe of it for a backup. Most cheaters underestimate most of the 'normal' weapons. Normal, as in referring to those in orange boxes. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Apr 13, 2004, 11:07 AM
Hmm, when I'm usually playing and suddenly I'm thrown into TTF, I take a mag with me and just feed it. If you want some exp from enemies (pretty hard for androids is to do gifoie, rafoie, or gizonde) then let them kill everything. Usually at bosses, I just get one hit and run away to a corner and once again feed my mag. I usually don't fight falz when there are hackers around, but sometimes (just a few), they don't attack when someone has been captured which I find strange at times.

Though the only good thing (not really a good thing) is that they slaughter bosses in secs rather than minutes)

I think it was my brother-in-law (the guy that created Dragoon) that met this guy on the Dreamcast...

Level 70.

Initial equipment.

Complaining that he hasn't been able to pick up items in a while.

Keeps running back to the teleporter at the beginning of Forest 1 to go back to the Hospital to heal.

HAS NEVER LOOKED AT HIS INVENTORY. Ever.
