Why can't I use certain characters for the last mission?

What are the conditions for using characters for the last mission in Story Mode?

On the Hunters side, I can't use Kranz or Ino'lis.
On the Arkz side, I can't use Break.

My friend, however, was able to use Ino'lis, so something must govern who you can bring to the last battle.

Is there a guide or can someone explain this?

This is my 2nd run through of Hunters story mode and I *still* can't use Ino'lis or Kranz....

Whiever character you use most is the character you take to the final battle. The last 2v1 also seems have more than 1 mission of weight behind it... So just make sure that you play the character you want to take to the end in every mission you can, and you'll have no problems.

Oh I see. Well, that makes it hard, considering Sil'fer is my strongest deck overall.

i used inolis in the 2v1, and couldnt use her in the final battle. i never used her at all in the game (used endu mostly)

so ill bet that that 2v1 determins a lot
