Man, this game is SHORT!!!

ok i recently just made a new character, FrozenShade is her name, she's a RAcaseal. I got to ultimate at level 40 with her so that's pretty good and then i beat ultimate at level 55! well ep 1 at least. after Falz i turned 57. with my other character that im gonna make soon, i'm gonna try to beat ep 2 at a really early level as well. anybody else find the game kind of short? lol http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

but the game is quite long trying to find items and starting a new file etc. but that's not what i'm talking about.

Besides, even if this game IS short... its not made to be a one way run-through game. Thats why they have alternating level variations and many many hours of searching including. I wish instead of ep II there was 8 levels on ep I.. *grumbles about everything being underground*

Im lv 138 and i have difficulty!

yah it kinda doesn't take that long to beat the actual game, u did know that right? yah if ur piping, trying to find items or starting a new file trying to find things it may take u like 500 h or something like that. i have a few files equaling to over 1kh and i've got like so many good items, and once u start a new file with these items it is SO much easier to beat the game, i beat the game in like 10h or something.

if u have the right equipment and weapons goin thru normal-vhard is easy breezy just like that. also takin the right routes makes it quicker to get there. if u take the right routes u could probably get there at lvl 38 earliest. same w/ ult. i was at falz at lvl 55. and dark falz is piece a cake w/ the rest of your inventory full of scape dolls and lots of heals: monomates x10, dimates x10, trimates x10, and star atomizers x10 too.

The game is finished after you have all 12 classes at level 200, all 10 ID's, every single item in the game, and have done every quest on every difficulty, and are no longer having fun with it.

Beleive me..I tried with my lvl 128 character and she got creamed with it's atks...when she was hit twice..but that still almost kills her...and every other enemy takes me below half point...what's your "trick"

I dunno but I just beat normal falz at lvl 18 with my second character.
Tricks: know how to dodge its attacks (they're pretty much all dodgable)
have a nice mag with nice blasts
gun type weapon
resta (dunno how you androids do it...)

I know hard / vhard / ult falz is much harder, but I've been there and the same *type* of things still work.

I best i got to ult with was somewhere near lv 50 and i gave her a few weps shields and armr.
She made her own mag though but she had god hp and all the best stuff she could equip.

Even on Dreamcast there wasnt no ep2 and i played over 4500 hours...

now on GC its even more to do... try to beat EVERYTHING even ChallengeMode and Cmode 2 thats a pain in the ***, beat all quests...do the quest Seat of the heart, need to do some quest offline before doing it online to get ragol ring....then try to hit lv 200 from lv 199 with a base mag/saber...after that THEN U HAVE BEATED THE GAME ! no hacks/dupes or lv 1 tweaked chars....

yah, i know that, i was just talking about the basic 4 levels on all 4 diffuculties, the game never ends, i'm well aware of that! if u try to fully complete the game, that would take like 15,000 hours or somethin. it would actually be like impossible to beat the whole game legit (getting every single item in the game, getting every character to lvl 200, etc.)

oh yeah, i didn't have a level 1304 mag. i don't even know how to hack that! and i've never even heard of a bringer's rifle w/ 300% so i dont know ur talking about......it just takes good equipment,weapons,and an awesome mag (lvl 200)

Just take a look at all the quests, weapons, armour etc, plus the versatility of using up to 12 different character classes, and you'll see that this game isnt really that short. Lvl 40 on Ult? Definately tweaked and hacked to hell, that's why Ult has a multiplayer lvl req. of lvl 80+....

ughhhh!!! u people don't get this through ur thick heads do u?!? i did not tweak or hack my charcter! all it takes is my items from my previous game!god/hp's, god/arms,god/powers, level 200 mag w/ 180 power, my pevious weapons (all rares) and stuff like that. there was no tweakage whatsoever in this process, plus lots of ppl got there at lvl 40. jeez, all i was trying to do was say my best record not get critisized by all u ppl. jeez!

You people dont seem to understand what he is trying to say, all he is saying is that to go through the basic 4 levels in each episode doesnt take long,He is not reffering to finding every single rare item or getting to level 200 or beating it with all classes.Even i can go through all of Ultimate mode in like 3 hours or less. Iv made it to Ultimate mode in one day before.
But no need for everyone to argue here, this game is probably the longest game ever made when it comes to finding everything and mastering the entire game with all classes at lvl 200, but if all u wanna do is defeat Falz on ultimate which he was trying to say then yeah it is short.

Just to clarify, PM, what you just said is the definition of "tweaking" a character. "Tweaking" (also known as "twinking") is loading up a low-level character with Mags, units, guards, weapons, materials, and assorted other stuff obtained by high-level characters in order to make the early steps of the game a breeze. No hacking, nor or indeed any cheating, is required to twink a character. It can be done with completely legitimate items.

I would like to point out that, yes, while it didn't take you very long at all to go from Level 1 to seeing the credits roll on Ultimate, though, you wouldn't have been able to do that had you not already spent the time and effort to find those items you used to twink up your character. If you'd just bought the game fresh off the shelf it wouldn't have taken you so short a time, 'cause you'd have had to work up while finding items as you go.

Still, your basic point is valid--no, PSO doesn't take all that long to play through the "main story" phase of the game. Even if you did start from scratch you'd still probably finish Ult in less time than you'd spend on an ordinary RPG (*if* you concentrated your efforts on getting there and didn't stop to do inefficient quests, tour around, or go online and look for Holiday Rappies, etc.). I'm just glad that's not all to the game.

I'm sorry, no. That's impossable even with a twinked character. You can't even hit DF at that low of a level. Hell you can't hit a bartle with a HUcast lvl 56...ATA you have to have at least 120...so you could only play a RAnger to do it...it's just frickin impossable...even with high level unless your ungodly with resta dodging and being cheep with a gun

Well, he did say he was playing a RAcaseal, so that's one of your objections out of the way. Level 55 RAcaseal is ATA 120 even without a MAG or */Arm units added in.

Pretty derned* impressive feat anyway, if he did it, but it's marginally within the range of possibility. At least he's not insisting he got to Ult mode at a lower level than he'd be at just by killing all the bosses on the way or something like some people have done.

mmmmkay...

well, i maxed out in materials from my previous game finding so many. used all my hp. and i used 100 power and 50 defence.


i had a lvl 200 mag w/ 180 power and 20 defence for the beggining of the game. and god/hp's.when all i needed was really power. later on i eguipped my mag w/ 150 ATA(75 real ATA), 45 power and 5 def. as well as 4 god/arms. i had guld milla for ultimate dark falz and that wasted him. i also took like all the heals i could get and about 22 scape dolls. i went to fight him and dropped all my scapes then, died. went back got more and fought him. also my mag had milla and youlla and i got pb's quick (cuz my lvl)and i whooped his arse! i also used frozen shooter thru the game too which really helped. i had s-parts which raises 15 ata (non base) and a 4 slot frame for most of the game and stink frame (4 slots) for the first form of falz but i used attribute plate (frame) for his 2nd and third form. i also used attribute wall (shield) for his 1st and 2nd form. and s-parts for his third form. i used spread needle thruout like half or so of the game. on normal mode i just used a shot and some rifle i found and some mechguns too.

there vee go now everybovy...

for the record i thought tweaking was like super stats or sumthing not transferring over good items.


EDIT: guld milla has 50% dark stats and 35% ATA and my other weapons all have awesome stats as well in other things too.

Cheater? Nah. Scape Dolls galore, and hig hlevel equipment, probably. Good, high POW mag, GodArm or two, and old fasioned ass kicking.

Oh, and Falz isn't that hard. I beat him with my HUmar when he was level 126. I only used one Scap Doll.

and sure he can hit but most miss

so your saying with less than 1500 ATP just barely hitting DF you managaged to kill him...his second form would take you out more than 80 times before you could do enough damage

Not for a HUcast it don't, that's for sure.

But my RAmarl only has 1070 ATP when Shifta'd while equipped with her good old fashioned Gush Vulcan (30% Hit), and in one heavy attack she does 700-900 damage. Sure, each shot might only hit for 250-300, but that's all you need. I can't imagine how much beefier a GULD MILLA would be.

And as far as RAngers go, we've got an easier time than hunters anyway. Mass spread weapons, distance shooting...

But I wouldn't want to take on Ult Falz at level 55. Heck, I declined taking him on at level 118! maybe I should've gone in there, but I chickened out... *sigh*

Durakken, what version are you playing? I play DC.
One needs 800 ATP, 110-120 ATA and Jellen on the ennemies to hit in Forest. Without Jellen, count 1200ATP.
One needs 1200ATP with 120+ ATA and Jellen to hit things in Caves. Without, count 1600ATP.
Mines: 1600ATP with Jellen (see a pattern here?), 2000ATP without.
Ruins : 2000ATP with Jellen, 2500ATP without.

And that's offline. You can reduce those by getting a weapon with high attributes. (15% account for about 180 ATP)

Clearing ult at lv 55 is quite some accomplishment! Of course it's only possible through those item switches, but hey, it's legal, and I'd go even as far as to saying that it was more or less encouraged in the GC version (that's why you have several characters per memory card, and not only 1 like on DC). Good thinking for the Scape Dolls, I used that trick with Trifluids on my first Fonewearl try at Vol OPt 2.

Even without the item searching thing, this game is at least twice as long as my second longest game. For instance, I got Mario Kart Double Dash, and in three days I've done all but two things, easily. not true, Me, lvl 148, <1300 POW whipped Falz and Olga Flow on ult, using one scape doll between to both of them.

Once again, Ramarl, <900 pow, 18 shifta does much more. Why? I don't know. I use red mechs +30. They boost 110 pow, huge for mechguns. Guld milla boosts 260, about, if I'm not mistaken. Guld Milla is an incredibly good wep, possibly on of the best ranger weps in my opinion.

Viewtiful Joe, compare what you can compare! PSO is a RPG and can't really be compared to Mario Kart.
It took me about 110 hours to clear Xenogears the first time around - with everything I could think of. Turns out I only missed one Gold Bullion from the last city - I knew where it was, but couldn't get it.
PSO still took me 195 hours to "clear" (with a lv116 HUmar). So if you count Item searching, online hunting, and whatnots, PSO is actually much longer than most RPGs. Vandal Hearts for example (which is excellent) only takes 25 hours to clear - my record is 11 hours with all secrets unlocked and no deaths whatsoever, with every ennemy killed. "Normal" RPGs do average 50-60 hours though...

You guys are all crazy. Getting to Drak Falz ultimate is easy?! Hell, just listen what you're saying. Before anything else you must remeber that you needed those rare itens and materials in order to beat the game so fast, and if you are a true legit PSO player you should know that those itens are hard to get and take a long time to find. I really doubt that even with all those materials and items (whatever they are) you could make it at lvl 57 (maybe 2 or 3 sets of ten higher)!! I mean, If you've done that you've just ridicularized the game! If I were you I think I would never play PSO again, seriously...

ya know, ive already had a past 4 games and this game, i just wanted to have fun so i got to ultimate as quick as i can and then played ult w/ my friends multiplayer and stuff. y never play pso again?

ooohhh! just cuz u got to the end easily doesnt mean quite playin pso. it means a quicker way to get to ultimate for new finds on a new ID! lol. and as i mentioned before just plain playing ult is funner.

Ult at low levels is easy for all but hunters. I know, 4 guys on ult, 2 hunters, and they sucked. Now my low hunter is all kick ass cause he's got a Demolition comet +25 with 35% hit.

actually hunters are pretty awesome at ultimate if u got the right stuff. like if u just feel like kickin ass, then dark flow and double cannon could waste anyone on ultimate so just those 2 weapons are awesome.
