RED SWORD (any pics?)

I was wondering about the red sword. I keep hearing that its massive, even large compared to a regular sword. Anyone have a pic of this thing? (tekker shots are ok, but id rather have a wielded one ^.^)

Im pretty sure its the same size as a normal sword...but I could be wrong. (This humar is short, normaly it does not look this big)

As far as ATP goes it is probably one of the best, i dunno why ya'll think it looks crappy i think it looks much better than a regular sword IMO.
I still think Dark Flow & Last survivor look the coolest tho.

Stats-wise S-Rank Sword > Red Sword, and by far (considering custom special).

Now I like Chain Sawd, Zanba and Flowen 3084 better for their specials.

Kef,does Zanbas special have a better chance of killing than the sealed J sword, i never got a chance to use Zanba but it says it can slice through an enemy in a single stroke or sumtin like that... im just guessing its special was kinda like the J-sword.

Well the J sword special is instant death (does not work most of the time) And the other one (cant spell it) is berserk. Much better IMO (In case you did not know berserk is take away 1/5 of your remaining life to do 2x heavy damage.)

oh i see, well thanx, does it miss alot when you do the beserk special or does it have the same accuracy as a critical hit? and isnt that what the soul eater does, but it seem to drain like half your HP.

Zanba has good ATA for a Sword, more than Red Sword for instance, the special usually does not miss if you do either weak-weak-special or weak-heavy-special, note that HUmar has 9 more ATA than HUcast, and also has Resta, best HUmar Sword, IMO, by far (only HUmar and HUcast can equip Zanba).

Well i use S-Parts Ver2.01 which gives me an addition 15 ATA over my MAX limit, so that would be good for that too eh?
HUcast Maxes out at 191 ATA but with S-parts it goes up to 206 ATA.

a good shield, true, but it will lower your DFP drastically, thus putting you in much danger since Berserk will lower your HP very fast.

I like it better when your are helpful, not opinionative. Like ketchup said, my opions and yours are different. Red sword is #2 IMO.
Tsumikiri J-Sword = I cant obtain this until MUCH later.
S-Rank Sword = I am offline only. This is a no-go.
Chain Sawd = While having greater Ata then the red sword, I prefer god/arm and red sword over god/arm chain sawd. Red Sword has more ATP.
Zanba = out of the question. Hard to obtain, impossible for hucaseal to use.
Flowens Sword AUW 3084 = I'm a skyly. Can't obtain the flowens sword 3084 with any of my chars (no yellowboze) and Red Sword has greater atp, both max grinded i dunno.
Sealed J-Sword = This would probly be after red sword also, but before it until i got the TJS.

Now you see how it is when people post against your opinions?

I would say to equip the RED SWORD based on just straight damage reasons alone. Of the two though I've found more RED SWORDS with Hit% than I have any other sword. I have a CHAIN SAWD with no %'s and that damn thing misses all the time when I hard attack, but with my RED SWORD be it the one with the 30% or without, I can hit more frequently

Gah, Chainsawd annoys me. At first, it was cool, but the sound when you hit really bugs me now! And, the Red Sword special is much more useful than Chainsawd for Humans - who needs HP steal with resta? Anyway, after every 3-hit combo you'll no doubt get hit and be having to heal anyway - I just feel that for the time it takes to regain health with a chainsawd, when not on a boss, there is no point, because you'll just get hit in a few seconds anyway.

However, if you're an android with a good enough ATA, and you really really don't like going back to p2 for mates, then sobeit. Okay, in my humble opinion, the "best" sword depends on which character you're playing as.

HUmar: Probably Zanba. Berserk + Decent ATP/ATA + Resta = ownage. Other good ones would be Red Sword, S-Rank Sword, Flowen's 3084 (for the special)...

HUcast: ChainSawd, for Gush. Zanba would be nice, as would a Zalure/Gush S-Rank Sword. Of, if none of those, a Last Survivor with good percentages.

HUnewearl: Red Sword, tis what Cassandra uses. Flowen's 3084 (for the special), S-Rank Sword, etc.

HUcaseal: ChainSawd, for Gush. Last Survivor with good percentages, S-Rank with Gush/Zalure special, maybe Red Sword.

Other good swords -
Sealed J-Sword: Strong, and cool-looking. Kinda uber-rare, though...

Tsumikiri J-Sword: Very nice, but most are hax0red, and I don't much care for the way they look. Great special, though.

Crazy Tune: XD Just for looks, kiddies.

Red Sword, IMO, is definetly one of the better swords in the game. Strong, fairly accurate, and good special. No EVP loss, either. I think it looks kinda cool. A bit plain, yes...

I think too many people put a huge emphasis on the S-Rank weapons, when they aren't all that great. For example there are SOOOOOOOO many people on the Xbox version right now that are using the same HELLFIRE TWIN and it doesn't even do more damage than my METEOR CUDGEL. I think the only S-Rank weapons that are worth anything are the S-Rank Mechs, Swords, and I forsome reason like the S-Rank Daggers.

2) S-Rank sword totally owns, of course Meteor Cudgle is more powerful x_X it only hits one target though, you cannot compare swords and twin sabers. And this is a legit discussion : S-Rank sword is the 2nd best sword stats wise and is easy to get, 100% Red Swords are irrelevant.

Srank sword does indeed totally pwn red sword. You get to choose the special, you only ose 1 ata, and damage is almost always higher, because of Red swords uber-variable atp. The paralysis on Red sword is good in caves and ruins, but Jellen or zalure still pown that if you are online.

I'm not comparing the METEOR CUDGEL to the S-Rank Sword, I was comparing it to the S-Rank Twin. I know that's off topic for a brief moment but oh well. As far as legit discussion is concerned no one is talking about hacks, I simply made a comment about a particular weapon as an example. Finally S-Rank Sword is only easy to get if you want to play challenge mode and I don't know many people that like challenge mode enough to endure trying to get under 7 hours.

Ep1 Challenge mode is easy, I beat it 26 times I NEVER got over 7 hours on my first times through.

I would play challenge mode, but for some reason I just can't get into it. Me and my friend were talking about getting into it, but just haven't yet. I've only used the S-Rank Sword once but that was before they added the WTQ to the box. I can't stand the TSUMIKIRI J-SWORD, I wanna puke everytime I see someone with that damn sword.
