It is exciting.

Shine, you always surprise me with your work. It's really some of the best stuff I've seen here. Keep posting images. They're great.

Even though this doesn't relate to the image you posted, my brother and I went through your webpage, and that has a lot of amazing work on it as well. This is excellent stuff.

This is just SO darn good. I find myself staring, staring, and staring some more.

We are not worthy.
I'd love to know how long this took her, but I doubt she is gonna pop in and answer question again.

Ah. I really, really, really do love it. And wish I can do half a job like this.

edit: Hey. I wrote to SHINE representing all of us telling her how much ass she kicks. I hope everyone is okay with me including them. If not, well, I can always say it is me and .... my other me. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Really great stuff, there's so much detail! Wow, I think I speak for everyone here when I say we can't wait to see some more.

Oooh, that's all *kinds* of good, especially with Olga Flow's patented "light at the end of the tunnel" effect. The scenery detail is so amazing that it actually requires two looks to realize how cool the character is as well.

Whew... that's.... freakishly good.

[Edit]: Ew... that text on the award needs finishing...

I am intrigued by the level of detail in this drawing. The individual dents and pings in the walls, as well as the chipping and weathering are readily aparent. Very nice.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, KaFKa. Just because something's been CG'd doesn't mean that there is any less skill involved. Computers offer very powerful tools to work with, but it's not any less work to produce a vivid image by computer than it is to produce a vivid image by hand. It's one thing to draw a character and area *once* in 3D, then just manipulate that character and area as needed to produce new pictures, but what SHINE here has done, is produce an image with a level of detail that you're not likely to see EVER be accomplished with traditional media, with the exception of a very rare few, such as M.C. Escher, who could draw perfect images from memory, inside-out and backwards.

Remember that the computer only supplies the tools, and those tools provided are no easier to produce results with than that of traditional media.

you act like i dont know that. the thing is, people like shine are great artists regardless, but when you see so damn much of CG stuff like i usually do, it gets somewhat tedious and blends into all the others. they always have a plastic look and feel, which is refreshing the first ten or twenty times, but then its turns into the same thing that happens with alot of the "modern" art. it all just looks and feels the same after awile.

with all due respect, its infinately easier to come up with something that looks decent with a good computer program as opposed to pencil and paper.

sorry if im derailing the topic http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif

Let's not turn this into a traditional vs digital media arguement ne? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Let's just say digital medium and traditional medium are two different medium, they both do something the others can't, and are both unique and respectable and leave it at that, okay? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

@Scott: I wish it works this way!

Ah, so Dyl and I were right. We were looking through her (didn't know she was a she) gallery and just going... "No way. This person HAS to be a professional."

And we were right. It's way awesome stuff.

You never cease to amaze me, Shine. The one thig I have to comment about, though, is that the right hand looks a little wierd. That is, unless the FOmar has a reversed grip on the sword (Kamui?), but even so it still looks like you might have the hand on backwards.

By the way, this is one of very few things I've decided to keep as my desktop background for a while, and coming from me that in itself should demostrate how good this is.

No offense, Navi or Lady J. >>;

I can kinda see what you're talking about, Kadou. But after looking at it for a while I think it's fine. The hand looks to be at an angle with the top of it facing upwards. It seems fine.

Lol, same here... Why would I be offended if you liked something this amazing better than something I could do? *G*

I'm in love with this picture. The details are just incredible! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif I would've commented on it earlier, but the internet decided to be stupid and not load at school, and that kinda screwed posting until I got home from work.

*stares at the gorgeous piccie* Maybe I'll be able to do stuff like that someday...

Yesh. It was in Rants somewhere.

To add: I wrote to SHINE-san, and she responded. Saying that she is glad that everyone liked her picture, too bad she doesn't speak much English and can't really understand what was going on. I prolly am gonna attempt in translating some of the comments to her. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
