Does anyone here still play this, especially on US East?

I play occasionally, especially around 6:30 AM EST on weekdays (when there is school).

I started playing it again about a month ago. Level 50 character in one day.

But I can't play again until my internet is hooked back up -_-.

I used to play it a lot, then I found PSO and lost all intrest in Diablo 2. After the new patch came out I went on again and realized I had no idea what I was doing and that all my characters sucked....so no, I don't play it anymore.

I've played it roughly four different times, and had my druid up to lvl 25+ each time, only to have the game eventually start freezing after 10-15 minutes of play. With all the running around and fighting, just isn't much you can accomplish in that ammount of time eventually, so I stopped playing.

I've been playing Sacred recently, which doesn't have some of the features of D2: LOD but it has 3D characters, hi-res graphics, and some newer features of it's own. Surprisingly it doesn't freeze nearly as much, if at all sometimes. But that might be due to my new comp.

I'd give D2: LOD another go, but with the current games I'm into, prolly not worth the time to build up multiple characters in different games like that, since eventually afew would get neglected. =

I WAS playing LOD until I got very bored of it. Currently playing ut2k4 before pso bb comes.

I got hooked on that at a friend's house, and it dominated my thoughts for months, seriously. I'm the kid that doesn't pay attention in class but instead is doodling notes about ideal sorc build or the next MAG to make. Then I slowly realized that there were better things out there, but I still chatted on Diablo message boards. I met OOJoe on one of those, I noticed that he posted a little bit here recently. Right now I can say that I am 100% Diablo free. Not so for PSO. There have been numerous mag builds in my English notebook lately. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

I wish I could play.....but sadly I had to return it to my friend long ago. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

But it was an amazing game. Maybe if I can find it in retail stores I will buy it. More than likely EBgames has it. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I dunno though....I will get hooked like before and never stop playing it like I have done with PSO. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

Hey, what's that.....

i still play it, been playing ever since the beta testing started years ago.

1.08: fun, but glitchy as hell, and hacked like whoa, no protection against that kind of stuff.

1.09: better, and more emphasis on character build, instead of how many hacks you had. and the introduction of the hex and ith, the only two hellish hacks in that patch.

1.10: with the new synnergy system and the introduction of items that add elemental damage, character build has become the focus, but thats a problem now, with cookie cutter formulas and the new runewords, following a simple formula is all it takes to be good at anything. but overall, its more fun to play and level than the earlier patches http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

my current ladder characters:
Tha_Itch 82 dualazon (matriarch)
ubermanpally 80 zealadin (patriarch)
another_zon 85 bowazon (matriarch)
OOOh_Skittles 86 trap assasin (matriarch)
Sordedy_Dude 74 pk barb (patriarch)
KaFKa_mkIII 81 mf blizz sorc (matriarch)
EchosOfHumanity 20 pk bone necro (no title, as of yet)

I still play from time to time and run my own d2 forums http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

D2 ranks as my all time favorite game ever. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I love D2! However, I lost my original Disc a while a go - not a problem, because you can play without it. However, when I got my new comp, I didn't have a way of playing it without the original disc, so unfortunately I'm stuck at the moment! The highest I got was a level 60 Fire Sorceress, but it annoyed me how there was always someone in the group with a better level than me, so I quit after a bit...

Perhaps when I have the money I will go and buy the original disc again http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Made a new character yesterday.
The-Liberator (Paladin) Lvl. 20
He's going to be pure defense. I'm going to max out his Defiance and Holy Shield. Then Max out Zeal, Holy Bolt, then whatever's left goes to Salvatoin. I gave Zeal 4 levels so I can hit 5 times. But now i'm going to lvl Defiance until lvl 24. Then i'll lvl Holy Shield 3 times. Then alternatevly lvl Defiance and Holy Shield until they're both at lvl 20. Then Holy Bolt so I can heal people!
I LOATHE hammer pally's. So cheap...
I would like to play with a Fanticism pally... that way we'll have really high defense, damage, attack speed, and attack rating.

Pally at lvl 45 now. Skills are:
Smite: 1 Sacrifice: 1 Holy Bolt: 1 Defiance: 20 Charge: 1 Zeal: 4 Blessed Hammer: 1 Holy Shield: 20
I do lots of normal baal runs and I stand in the middle of the fray and do an o.k. amount of damage. But I stand in the middle as everyone else attacks from outside. Because of my massive defense from Defiance and Holy Shield (and if there's a good barb, I get Battle Orders and Shout) I can take any blow from any of baal's minions. I get almost 10,000 defense. And my equipment doesn't give good defense either. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

This game is quite fun, used to play it a lot before PSO.
Now that my PSO days are over, I might go back.
Hum....
It's all about hardcore mode.
It is funny when someone in your party dies in Hardcore.

lmao, I just figured out how to hotkey skills. I've been waiting to know that for a loooong time. I finally checked options and found out how. I thought it was like sc or wc where u pres ctrl+ a #. Not Ctrl+ and F key. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I used to play quite a lot a year or so ago.
I'd always get a few level 40 characters before I'd forget to log them on and then end up losing the account. When the expansion came out I was able to get an Assassin to about level 84, but the way I leveled my character didn't make very good stats and skills. That account became long gone.

Then when that major patch came out... 1.10 I think, I made a Sorceress and got her to 80+ in about a week, with a few SOJ and some nice armor and weapons like Occulus. Traded a bunch of good (rather than a few great) stuff for them. Got to about low 90s before I stopped playing... most likely gone now.

I haven't played Diablo 2 in so long......I'm afraid if I do....I won't stop. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I used to play the crap outta that game....getting all kinds of weps and armors. I had borrowed it from a friend for a while.....but sadly I had to give it back. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Man, my pally is just getting better and better. Lvl 52 now, and he's got some pretty decent equipment for his lvl. He has 15,000 defense when I use Holy Shield and Defiance. His Zeal is like lvl 11 now. Oh, and his equipment steals ubber life and mana. 22% life steal and like 12% mana steal. And you know, with zeal I hit like.... really fast. In pso terms, its like having mechguns with gush and soul. And the more you level Zeal, your damage, attack bonus, and # of hits increase. But once it gets to lvl 4, you can only hit 5 times. That's the maximum....

Look for me, accnt #: Toldos online.

I have 3 chars I'm currently leveling, none above nightmare right now (new account).

I usually hang out in Channel Toldos if I'm chatting with a friend.
