Easter Eggs: Do you have to open the ones you got 1st before

I've had 2 eggs so far, and I didnt get my 2nd one untill after I'd opened my 1st.

I had done loadsa Temple runs after I got my 1st, and didnt get any at all for about 3-4 days! Then I opened the one I did have, and on my 1st run I got another one.

Is this a Coincidence? Or could it be how they stop people from hoarding the eggs?

I have PSO plus, in case it makes any difference.
