id make a guess at between 2000 and 8000 at any one time

Peak times i see japanese servers with 4000 - 5500 players, off peak around 500 - 1200, us servers peak are about 1000, iwth off peak around 400, uk servers peak about 200, off peak about 40..

Interesting but if u dont mind using the auto chats ( the japanese are nice and dont mind if u need it ) then ull be fine, 90% of my guild cards list have J after there name cos hell, they dont hack, there plain nicer than 90% of the gimpy 14yr old americans that populate those servers and there arnt enough english people online.. o well.. Its fun, to play..

Yeah, it really depends on the version you're playing. Since the XB version isn't cross region compatible, it might be a ghost town some times (or so I hear). The GC version is a lot more popular (see above post). Now, if you're going to play the DC version (PAL), it really depends. When the link to the Japanese ships was there (God ST bring it back!), on weekends at peak hours, you could find up to 200 people playing, and at less popular times, somewhere between 20 and 50 people, mostly on the JP ships. Now, since the link is gone, you'll probably find 5 players on at any given time, and on peak hours, up to 40.

Yay offline!!! I NEVER go online, so there. as for people who DO play online? I know a few. not many though. the way I see it, (and no offence) PSO online is just like playing offline, exept with a lower chance of getting the rare before your "partner" snags it. don't hate my opinion, I said "no offnece."

there's got to be some measure of constant money going into Sonic Team for the servers, whether it be to pay the salaries of the fellas that create those online quests or to maintain the servers, as some people claim.

Nine dollars a month is a PITTANCE, compared to how much use you can get from the game online. Seriously.

Oh, and I just got online and it rawks. Well worth it indeed!
