Well, okay so last night had to be my best luck ever on PSO, after my one year of PSOX. I found a Psycho Wand (0/0/0/0) and a Prophets of Motav (0/0/5/0) In the same night. The Prophets are fully tekked because I found them at (0/0/-5/0). I'm so happy because I decided I would stop piping/hunting for these rares for my Force, so I started a Ranger. well, last night I was bored and so I went with my Skyly HUmar went and joined a game and played Forest, then in Caves I found a Psycho Wand. I guess the host was Purplenum http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I was excited, so I went to try it out on my Force. So, I go do some ULT TTFs wit my Oran FOnewearl, and the last three Dark Bringers each dropped a red box. Everyone scatters for them. Two Photon drops, and mine the Prophets.

As much as it is sooooooooooo unlikely to get 2 PDs and a PoM fron an Oran TTF, it is ablsolutely impossible to find a Special weapon with -5%

O, and about the 2 PDs and PoM. If you think that is rare or unlikely. I have been hunting for an Agito 1975, ULT Pal Pinkal.

it is nt possible to have an untekked weapon with negative percents, you can tek it to -5% though.

About the story, nope, I don't believe it, as I do not believe most people here who have not proven they don't lie, deal with it.

You can tekk items so they end up with negative percents, but can't ever find a special weapon with -ve percents untekked to my knowledge :s

About the 99.6% thing... it would be more like you have a 99.6% chance of getting 1 in 22 if anything, not that you fail 21 and then the 22nd is 99.6%. There is a difference. Even then, it's not actually a 99.6% chance of getting it in 22, so either logic doesn't really apply.

Lots of people don't look at % until the tekker screen, and take the first thing they see as the base %. Assuming the story is true, they could have gotten -10% tekking on a 5% base, assumed the -10% was the true base, and then tekked it to 0% change, thinking that that was the max +10%. *shrug*

since the lowest % you can get untekked (if any) is 5% then the lowest you can have tekked is -5%, simple

Well I know we aren't talking about the Dreamcast version, but I have some input anyway. I am 100% positive you can find untekked special weapons on ver1 with negative percents. I have an untekked Photon Claw sitting in my bank with -10% a beast as well at an Agito1977. So I know it is possible in ver1 for DC.

Yes, I'm fully aware of that. When I say -10% tekking, I'm reffering to when the tekker goes 10% down from the base stats, i.e., I have a base 55% Hit Gladius, I don't look at it before I tekk it, I get -10% the first time and assume that 45% Hit is the base, and only tekk it to 55% Hit instead of 65% in the belief that it can't got higher.

Yes, on the Dreamcast version you could get a lot more extreme negative percents, but on Version 3 that is not the case.
