If you can, hunt down Delsaber's Left Arm and convert it into a Shield of Delsaber from a FOnewm near the Principal transporter at the quest called Unsealed Door. it depends... personally i use the shiled of delsaber...mainly for the extra EVP and EDK resistance at level 66 eve n though you can use it at level 41, though i know there is also:

proto regen gear
regen gear
Regen gear advance
Flowen's shield
DB's shield
Custom barrier V.00

all are equipable at level 66, much of the are more or less the same in stats except resistances and looks.

well, it's just that my d-saber shield has around 19 evp more than the DB's shield... and my DB's shield has 1 more DFP more than the d-saber shield... plus it goes with my ramarls, hunewearls costume XD

as for best looking armour... brightness circle at level 111 or gaurd wave maybe for level 101's? O.o

though a smoking plate would be good for characters wearing black costumes... if they could equip it >_>;

well the kasami bracer looks better than the d-saber shield... but i don't have one yet... that is also something that looks good with a black costume

i would use a delsaber shield i have a humar at level 66 right now and he is using a delsaber shield and i have other shields that u can use at level 66 but the delsaber shield is better than the others ones so i would use the delsaber shield and if u have the delsaber's saber i would use it cause is a nice combo.

I dislike secret gear. I've been using since I could on my FOmar. Lvl 41 is the requirement right? Yeah...well my FO is level 156 now.

If you're sick to death of the Secret Gear, you could go with an Attribute Wall--virtually identical stats and better resistances, plus that cool hexagram thing whenever you block an attack. Delsaber's is nice for the EDK without totally mortgaging your defensive stats the way the Light Relief does. DB's Shield doesn't totally suck, but the Secret Gear has better stats and is easier to find.

Other than those, you'd might as well just equip a Divinity Barrier at level 66. Most of the rest aren't really worth wasting your time and energy on.
