Door or no door? (From the Depths)

I noticed something today when I was questing for my Soul Eater... On the map in Ruins 2, in the oddly shaped room (the one with a slender path connecting two halves of it), it shows a door being across from where you enter the room. However, there's just a solid wall.

Anybody have any idea why it is like that?

From what I've gathered, there isn't a door there, but there is a hallway to another room behind it. I guess ST decided not to put anything there and put a door filler panel there, only to have the game kinda mess up a bit.
