No, because it's not possible. The new releases are just that, entirely different versions of the game. Not to mention that the Xbox version is on Microsoft's servers(which are split into three different areas, Asia, Europe, North America/The rest of the world).

Besides, there's too much new content, not to mention downloadable content, that the DC most likely would'nt be able to handle it and still hold a decent framerate and connection.

It is unfortunate that the DC server is gone but...

There would be no reason...seeing as PSO is on both Gamecube and Xbox. That is the reason they closed it down before. B'cuz ppl where leaving the DC version and going to the GCN and XBOX versions. Plus it was about time to retire the DC version seeing as its console died down.

I'm never gonna play it online again so no! Plus last time I went on it, it was running damn slow.

my online pso career died with the dreamcast servers been shut down. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

it was fun while it lasted but lets be honest everyone who played it moved to the xbox or gc once the dreamcast died, and started playing on those consoles.

the very last time i was on there was a grand total of 28 players in the european servers. when i think of how in summer 2001 you would log on and every block would be crammed full and think of just of deserted it became it breaks my heart.

bottom line: short of god himself becoming an addict and demmanding the servers switched back on you'll be flying solo unless you stat playing gc or xbox.

RIP DCPSO

PEACE!!!

Sega Europe have no plans as yet to shut down the Phantasy Star online servers for the Dreamcast.
Usage of the european Dreamcast Servers for PSO and PSO ver2 remains free of charge.

the above statement is dated as the 15th of March 2004.

Bear in mind, you need your "local" servers to even get a connection to the others, which is why US players cant get to the JP or EU servers, for their servers are no longer active, as we all know.

Thats cause you default to the US servers, and if theres nothing to default to, well, you cant really go anywhere http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Can't you get a gs code to start on a eu server?
