She's out there somewhere on that big world before me, maybe not even realizing that I am searching for her, or perhaps not caring. Through all of the extensive training it took to reach level 200 all those many months ago, in the end, it all boils down to this search.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso13.png

But then, I'm pressing forward quickly here. Let me first start by introducing myself again; my name is Adam, some of you may have heard of me. I have been around since the old days of PSO, back before we had seen the light, as the song implies, and all of the colors that went along with it, as evidenced by this photo taken in the early AUW 3.141592653.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso4.png

Back then, Pioneer2 had not yet set out from the home world, and was not slated to do so for a few more decades. The photo above was part of an advertisement for some of the early designs of the lobbies. Back then, this was considered far superior to the barracks condition of the lobbies 11,12,13,14, and15, respectively. It doesn't show much besides a blurry image of deep space outside the windows, and because we were having trouble getting viable carrots, the snowmen were never built with noses.

But now, as I have written, I am embroiled in a search that may take years off my already extended life. But at least I'm not alone in the search for that young woman. Some friends have come along with me in the hopes of finding her.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso22.png

While the number of friends that visit Ragol has diminished over the past year, and ignoring the girls jutting out their chests in the above photograph, I realize that the ones that did leave did so with good reason. But the search still goes on for that one, that love which was to last a lifetime.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso3.png

Rejoining the search on Ragol after his crushing loss of character, a version of Lightning has been reborn from the ghosts of the past. He is low in level now, but the search will allow plenty of room to grow again.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso15.png

Together, his reincarnated self and I stood on a cliff of despair over the search for my love, coupled with the troubled feelings of his own love life in Newfoundland. But we could not dwell upon the ocean of pain out there that awaited both of us, we could only turn our sites back toward life, and what it offered.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso14.png

Sending his other personality, Ziaku, to join in the search, he and I decided to ask some of the more reclusive animals on Ragol for their opinion on the matter. First, we asked the loveable Hildetor.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso21.png

But the hildetor did not know the chances for success in this search, and instead tried to kill us both with Megid. Next, we visited the cuddly Pal Rappy, and asked for advice from that front.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso20.png

To our amazement, the Rappy had an idea!

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso19.png

The Rappy said, "Everybody knows that rust never sleeps, right? So if you go to the beach and rust, then you'll have the rest of your life to think about this."

It was a stupid idea, but Lightning and I went along with it. Once we got to the beach though, we realized that the Rappy had been working as an informant from the government on Pioneer 2. The government had sent us to the area not to have me rust, as the Rappy had suggested, but rather to swat flies, and spank monkeys. While we were doing so though, I found that even if all the Gee's in all the Beach area decided, for once, to drop rare items, that it would in no way compare to finding Allie again. So I stood by idly as Lightning got all the gold, and rares, from the fly swatting, monkey spanking, extravaganza.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso12.png

Returning to the lobbies onboard Pioneer2, I felt totally alone, as if I were sitting on the wrong side of the fence of reality, along with some people who showed as much emotion as cardboard cutouts of DMV employees.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso23.png

Knowing that the feeling would do me no good, I went back into the city, and waited in silence for any sort of good news. I stood for a long time...

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso16.png

... as night turned to day...

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso18.png

Then I decided to check the surface of Ragol once more for her presence...

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso11.png

... and waited as day turned to dusk...

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso10.png

During that waiting period, I came to the decision that I would need more help if I were to find that one again. I had a good idea of somebody who could help out, too. And so I enlisted the help of one Pink Passion.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso6.png

As the color of her name implies, she is authorized to enter some lobbies onboard Pioneer 2 that the trusty old government lackey Adam is unable to. I sent her first to those areas. The search did take a while, but eventually, Pink Passion found her woman...

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso7.png

... and sent in this photographic evidence to prove herself as a worthy soldier to me. But moments later, Allie once again slipped away, leaving Pink Passion in the lobby alone to pout.

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso9.png

And so the search goes on. Fellow hunters, I implore you, aid in the search for Allie. She is out there somewhere, battling her way through fear and doubt, and I know we can bring her to virtue once more!

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso2.png

The search goes on worldwide on those wonderful games we know as

http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso1.png and http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso.png.

Get someone to host that in a more appropriate part of the web. Way to go man!

It would figure that the only person to reply to this would be somebody who joined PSOW on my birthday last year. That was also a day or two after I lost touch with the one I am searching for in this story here.

I'm not surprised this was moved, although I'm not certain whether the Fan Fiction part of the site was the correct area to move it to. This is a real search I was writing about here, and I was hoping to get some people interested in going in on it. Also, since it entailed all three episodes of PSO, I wasn't sure which area to post it in, so I decided General for ep 1 and 2 would be good. I guess somebody decided to move it here instead though, where it will be buried under a mountain of other threads amd never seen or heard from again. Thanks a lot for your compassion mods.

Dude, it's a story. With screenschots. Basically a graphic novel. Why wouldn't it belong in fanworks? Anyway, would you rather have it buried under a pile of creative threads or a pile of 'I found 300% BKB WTF OMG!!!!111!!!' threads?

It's a story, but one that does not belong in Fanworks, IMO.

Unfortunately, any attempt at creativity is thrown here, making any appeals need to be dry, dull affairs few will care about. Anything interesting that shows creativity will be summarily tossed here. Anything involving art or writing in any form will also be tossed here where no one will read it, even if it has nothing to do with fanart, fanfiction or any sort of fan work.

Which makes utterly no sense to me, but I don't mod the forums, so what do I know?

And what OMG I FOUND BKB 300% DARK posts are you finding, Garanz? *raises eyebrow* I have yet to see any threads like that on PSOW at all in over a year. Perhaps you can direct me to them?

Uh, guys, are we going to help him, or argue where it goes?
Sorry, but teh Numbskull has no idea where she is since he can't go online. :/ One question that may help the search is:
Does she still have the E177 by her name?

Numbskull? What the hell? I get online all the time, but she's rarely ever on.

I was stereotyping, Ian. Forget I said anything.

Uhmm...Is this a story of a real search for an actual person? Or fictional as I thought it was at first? If it's serious, I take back what I said in my previous post.

It's a search for a real person online, not a fictional story, as whomever moved it here must have thought.

Today the search for Allie continued. But this time, I was alone when I started it.
Looking out over the frozen kingdom that I call my online home, I felt sad, and lonely.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso30.png

Gone were the days where she would warm me by snuggling close. Instead those feelings have been replaced by the cold heart of my past. But I couldn't let it get me down. At the same time, I had no idea where to even begin today. And so I visited one of the all-knowing Snowmen that inhabit the region to ask for advice.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso39.png The snowman told me to seek out these two people in order to help with the search.

I knew of Lightning already, as he has aided me on previous quests, and indeed, even on this search. But Natasha was completely unknown to me. When the snowman asked if I knew Natasha from someplace else, I simply stated:
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso29.png

In any case, I started my search this morning alone. Once again, I stood upon that cliff of pain, not sure whether I should press on, or turn back to what I was comfortable with.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso33.png

Unlike last time, I decided to take the plunge into that pain today...
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso32.png

... and I swam against the current of rage and desire, holding back my breath and emotions from what waited beyond. To my surprise, I found a very flushed out Lightning, who had apparently decided to take the plunge earlier today, himself.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso36.png

Even though his coloring was washed out from the exposure of inhaling water, he was really beginning to look more like his old self. I pulled up a stone chair, and decided to sit with the guy for a while.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso35.png

However, I didn't sit for very long, as a vicious Angelfish was making passes at my head, not that it would have mattered, because I'm composed mostly of iron, steal, and copper these days.

Swimming ashore, I found myself on the beach of a deserted island!
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso31.png

The scenery was very nice, but the place seemed very familiar to me, almost as if I'd been there many times before. As I ventured inland, the memories all came back to me. It was on this island that I had fought the gigantic killer gees. It was also the island upon which I had lost my cat, Rumor. But the cat was still there waiting for me, and jumped up onto my shoulder to show me how much she missed her poppa.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso34.png

Naturally, Rumor wouldn't let me leave the island without her this time, and so, finally reunited, the cat and I made our way back to the beach to find Lightning again. When we did meet up with him, he was again depressed about his love life, and the young woman he wished for in Newfoundland. With the pain of loss so great, we both decided to make our way back through those murky waters again, back to the comfort of the mainland, where sanity prevailed over emotion. And though our foolish pride was great about our separate interests, we decided to ask another female for her advice on the matter. The closest verified female that we knew of was stationed in the local hunters guild. So we went in there to pester her for a while. Lightning, suddenly bashful about his washed out, old school, appearance, decided to get dressed up, and wear a wig to the occasion.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso25.png

We both listened to what the lady had to say after we described out predicaments, and the search we were currently on. It wasn't too long into her speech though that we tuned her out completely. We did so for several reasons, but none perhaps as great as the fact that she was our superior and had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ON OR BEHIND HER DESK. I mean, it may be natural for her to send people to their death at a whim, but at least I have a computer terminal at my workstation so I can keep track of things.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso28.png

But of course, the above picture of me working the lane at the Beachfront Calamari joint doesn't mean anything in this ongoing search for Allie. In fact, I left the job in order to do this. Trust me people; the stench of rusting iron, dirty oil, and rotten squids is the worst.

In the end, Lightning and I decided to once again seek some of the more reclusive species on Ragol. We were asking them for advice, as well as if they may have seen Allie at some time in the recent days.

We first went to that elusive Nar Lilly http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso26.png and explained the situation in full. After the explanation was finished, the damn lily could do nothing but laugh at us. I wasn't sure if it was the lily laughing, or whatever the lily was on, because as it laughed, it was also frothing at the mouth, spitting out crap as it did so.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso27.png

Leaving the lily in disgust at its manners, we decided to seek out the infamous Hildeblue. Now I knew from my travels on Ragol that the Hildeblue was remarkably shy. In all my hours, in all my days, months, and more than a year and a half on the version of Ragol that this game brings me, I had only encountered one Hildeblue ever. Of course, once the two of us got it in our minds that we wanted to ask the brute something, it was only more than happy to oblige us.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso24.png "Hey guys," greeted the Hildeblue, "how's it hangin?"

After telling the Hildeblue of our troubles, it was revealed that the Hildeblue was the only male of the Hilde-family that was presently in the forest. The rest of the Hildebears were his female mates. Because of the great romance success stories of the Hildeblue, neither Lightning nor I felt that we could trust its advice. That may sound strange, but when one has nothing but success in his past, failure, and heartbreak are both unknown factors. Thanking the Hildeblue for his time, and appearance, we left the forest just in time for him to try and freeze the both of us. However, what he didn't realize was that both of us were immune as our hearts were stone cold already.

With only a few more rare creatures around during this time of year, we decided to press on into the catacombs of a cave system nearby. While the Nar Lilly is known to inhabit the caves sometimes, along with its buddy the Mil Lilly, we were looking for something else in there, and it wasn't long into the second set of caverns that we found it.
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso37.png

It was during this time when Natasha finally made an appearance, seemingly just to inform Lightning and I that he was going to eat lunch, and would be back later in the afternoon. There is no photographic evidence of this, so you are just going to have to take my word for it.

After Natasha left, Lightning and I asked the red slime about his successes with women, and what it actually took to get one back. Lifting a tentacle high into the air in order to smack some sense into me, the slime's answer was simple, "Just call her, fool!"
http://adam.killsmurf.com/vids/pso38.png

If only things were that simple, if only the situation allowed for that. Unfortunately, it does not. So the search continues on that big blue bean we will one day call home.
