I don't know where to put this, so I put this here...

If I could have all the time in the world, I would play this game to death and get all the rares by myself, but sadly time is short. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I'm TRYING to make a comic of PSO with some of my characters (it's some dumb random thing I will do with my life, make stuff for myself), and now to figure out how to draw weapons (yes this site has nice pictures of them, but it's usually good to experience it offhand), it would be nice to official have them. Duped or not duped. Not duped is 'prefered' but... I still play legit. I know which is legit, and which is not legit in my inventory.

So, my quest of collecting all the rares will begin...

and Sharky, I like your idea, but isn't it a bit...

farfetched? Seriously though, if you're going to try,, try. It won't be that bad. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Well for the ones you dont have, you can get a model to model the weapon for you, as you draw it! <<;

Works just the same!

I think I only need one type. Flowen's sword looks like a Flowen's sword... well so does a kamui and an orotiagito (sorta haven't compared the two). I guess I'll put up a list to see what I need.

Are you trying to find all the weapons legitly? You might have some trouble with the dark weapons and the TJ Sword, not to mention some other unmentionables!

The idea isn't too far fetched, Sharky. You just have to keep up with it. Over the first year that the game was out on the Gamecube, I was able to collect every rare in the game except the Greenil Card, so it can be done. I kept all of my rares on storage memory cards that I never brought online, hoping to avoid the risk of corruption, because, you know, if it's going to happen, it's going to happen at the most inopportune time.

Those storage cards were all lost, unfortunately, when my wife left me, and was moving around all over the place, so the great collection is no more. However, it wouldn't be as complete as it was back then anyway, simply because of the episode 2 S ranks, the blue, green, and yellow rings, and the hunters shell, ranger shell, and force field. I'm sure there were a few other hacks that may have gotten into the game since mid-December of 2003, also, and I wouldn't have any of those. I'm thinking mostly about some of the versions of hacked mags, and the rappy units.

Building up your collection will not take as much time as some people think it would. So long as you've got some good friends online, you will have good things collected for you even when you aren't playing. This comes in handy for some of the harder to find things, as well as the collection of S ranks, since you no longer need to be the one to earn every single last one of them. I'm sure that back when my collection was at its largest (somewhere over 2000 rares over a number of memory cards), that I received an S rank directly from most of the more well known players, some of them with serious names, some with funny names. Most of the ones that I have with funny names were made by me or my wife though.

My suggestion would be to have a number of memory cards, each one dedicated to a certain type of rare, such as a card for rare armors, a card for rare units, a card for rare weapons, along with the obligitary character types that will hold either ranger rares, hunter rares, or force rares. While you're at it, you may as well collect at least 1 of every type and every level of technique, since they could always be useful later to you, or make for good trade materials.

Don't forget, when you are making your collection of rare weapons that you make sure you get weapons that have good hit% on them. The Japanese players will deal you good rares with hit, so long as you have something they want. Make sure to get a full set of AUW dated DB's Swords, Flowens Swords, and possibly DB's sabers, although I can't remember if that really comes in years or not, since it's been so long since I've found one regularly. Having one or two out of the sets is fine, but you'll never get the respect you deserve for making such a collection of rares unless you have the full sets. Having a full set of Section ID cards would be great, too, but good luck getting that. And load up on the Synthesis units from Paganini, they will always be good trade material, and they can help you get some great rares, on the side.

Once everything is done, and played to death, the game is just one big, and I mean BIG treasure hunt. Utilizing friends of different section IDs is a great start, and I respect that you are a legit player; that is the best way to really learn how to play the game. When making a grand collection such as this though, you are going to come to face that a few rules are likely going to be bent if you really want it completed. You WILL have to trade, a lot of the time, in fact. You WILL have to accept the things being given to you for seemingly no cost other than your time and acknowledgement. Something you will not have to do though, is deal with players who make you feel uncomfortable. If you find that you are dealing with somebody like that in order to get something that you want off your list, then just move on. Other people will have the item, and some of them may be more obliging to you, so have fun.

I think Ketchup is close to getting all items, ask him about it http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I don't think it's farfetched at all, but it will definately require you to have a lot of free time on your hands!

Nah, if they're "legit" but don't mind if they also use dupes (kind of makes no sense) then they could have the weapons in a day. Just get your spammy symbol chats set and go to work. @@

ketchup can't have close to everything if he's legit...100+ items aren't even released yet

If you are online with GC, here is my TRADELIST (http://www.angelfire.com/alt/rlc/rares.html), which contains a healthy catalog of items. Its not really a tradelist in the sense that I don't really trade anymore, but it does list everything I have. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

If you use Mozilla you will most likely get errors (i need to clean it up) so unfortunately you'll need to use IE (**shudder**)

yeah, ask either VS or me as we miss 4 of the released weapons (and only 2 really matter), I posted a .rar that contains 200 pics of different weapons at CR, was it of any help ?
