View Full Version : How would one go about raising a character solely for piping

My method thus far involves raising an unsuspecting HUmar offline through the use of a Lv.200 Varaha (38 DEF, 158 POW, 4 DEX), and typically a Devil/Battle, Dragon/HP, and maybe some other unit (General/HP or something along that vein). The point in question...

What are some other (preferably more experienced) players' 'methods' at raising characters for their ID's?

ummmm you could tweak them and to pipe you're gonna want to give the character some resist items and a nice mag which you have so you should be fine. OH and your should do it with somebody who can ryuker.

I think the Idea you've got is pretty sound, and is always a good start. Also, to get your character through those first few levels, get yourself a Soul Banish through this quest - http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=956, which has extremely low level requirements for it's level of ability at lower levels.

Then, I suggest doing ploughing as far as you can to to the level you want to pipe at, and when you'r stuck, keep doing ruins runs of the difficulty you're capable at until you're good enough to start piping.

Have fun http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Kill stuff. Gain experience. Level up. Push forward as fast as possible.

Hmm, raising a character -just- for piping? As in, once you've gotten the item you want, you're gonna delete them?

Well, it's not too hard.

First, choose an appropriate character. All characters can pipe; Droids have to use Telepipes, which are expensive, while Humans and Newmen can use Ryuker.

Then, choose the right ID, of course.

Next, give them a level 200 Mag, some AddSlots/Slotted Armors, and some nice weapons. Like Soul EATER (check the link Antimony posted).

For actual levelling up, it depends if you're online, or not. Online, TTF, the Endless Nightmare/Mop-up quests, or Lost Heat Sword/Lost Ice Spinner/Lost Soul Blade will do quite nicely for EXP.

Offline, Addicting Food, Ruins runs, Soul of a Blacksmith, and the like will do you nicely.

Ruins > TTF when you can handle Ruins...

Even if you are transfering items and such, you sometimes don't have enough Health or TP to last through Ruins. When I can take on the Ruins, I trnasfer from TTF to Ruins.

Play offline, and go straight through EpI.

I have had Ult unlocked about level 39 before, from there EXP is very fast. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

TTF is useless for piping.
The only person whos got it perfectly right is jazhara and those who said about tweaking.
If you only want to get to hard, use a fo.

Erm... Soul Eater, not banish.

Anyways, just level him up. Ruins/Seabed runs, and you'll be there before you know it. =)
