FanArt: Second Big PSOW FanArt Project!

Ok, I'm done with finals now, and obviously that's all that matters, so here's what I propose:

I brought this up earlier and I'd like to try doing a second big PSOW Fan Art project. My idea is that we'll get a bunch of different Fan Artists together and everyone will be randomly matched up with one of the other artist's characters. I'd hope to somehow then organize them so that we could put all the characters into one big picture. At the very least, I'd want to pair up the artists that switched characters and put their two drawings together.

I think the project would be interesting if only to see other artist's takes on some of our favorite characters. I'd certainly like to see my own character done by another artist, and I'm sure there are some of you who would like to do the same.

Any thoughts?

Actually, my idea was either the circle of characters or just character swaps. For instance:

Navi and Scott get paired up together. Navi draws Scott, and Scott draws Si'ev. They put the two characters side by side or however they'd like to do it. You could have them interacting with eachother, or maybe just gawking at eachother like they can't believe what they see... whatever works.

I mean, hey, I'm open to any ideas. Let me edit the post at the top to make some sort for people who are joining.

EDIT: So, uh... Zzzzz... you do NOT want to be in it?

And I figure I'll cut it off at about 20 people. That's about what we had for the first project, right? That's ten joint pictures... I think it could work.

Well Auracom, I wanted about twenty people, and it's alright if we have an odd number of people if we're doing the big circle of artists. I think that might be the best way to do it, but I still wanna hear from a few of you guys. If we have space though, I'll definitely add you.

One thing I'd like to mention: I feel it would be best if we do only characters on a white background... maybe a few details on a horizon line, but aside from that, I'd like to keep the backgrounds as non-existent as possible, so we can easily link up the pictures. Sound good?

Alright... here we go!

We're going to do a circle of artists. Each person will be assigned to draw a character of one of the other artists. Likewise, each artist will have another artist's character assigned to them. Tomorrow afternoon (hopefully) I'll pull up a randomizer of some sort and assign everybody their characters. I'll post the list here. If you guys could start posting your characters (choose ONE character that you would like drawn) by supplying some basic information, that would be great. Anyway, when I post the list, you'll see who you've been assigned and who you have been assigned to. Feel free to PM each other to work out some of the details if you'd like. Also, feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Basic Rules:

- Do your best to limit the amount of background you show. I'd prefer to either have just the character (with weapons, mag, whatever) by himself, or at most with just a glorified horizon line. Either way, I'd like all of these images on a white background.

- Feel free to draw them in whatever style you'd like. I think though that we should all be uniform in that we should all use our own styles. If you guys want, we can try emulating each other's styles, but I think this would be a better idea.

- If possible, try and color all the images. As with Navi's project, feel free to use non-digital tools, but try and make them stand out in some way. I don't know how this will look if one picture has flashy digital coloring while another has bland colored pencils. Go ahead and use colored pencils, but make sure they look good!

- Eh... I suppose I shouldn't really restrict your image sizes that much, but if possible, try to make your character portrait be around 400 x 600 (You can extend these dimensions if you need to... for extended weapons or whatever, but I'd like these to all fit in fairly well.) Worst case scenario, I'll try resizing your image to fit in with the rest.

- Again, just post some basic character info:

Class, costume, hair color, weapons, mag, etc.

- Have fun, yo.

Ok, I think that's about it guys. Any questions, you know how to reach me. You should probably start posting your character's information now and I'll try and get the list up tomorrow. I'll check the thread before I start assigning characters in case anyone else feels like joining (Everyone cross your fingers!)

He's a RAmar with the black and white costume. He uses a Kapu-Kapu mag and uses a Frozen Shooter. He's got Kranz-like hair but it's brown instead of red. I think that's about it.

She wields a Pole, and her Mag is a red Marica. She's young, short, and somewhat plump. (Mmm, Fluids.) Not a classic babe, but still cute. She's about 16, but she looks young for her age.
And she leaves a trail of flaming destruction wherever she goes.

I usually use the blur tool to blur the image so that colors tend to merged together. The original form without the blur looks horrible as if I really didn't color the picture in correctly.
