Rain pounding down on my tin roof makes it easy to goto sleep, and quite hard to stay awake as it lulls me off.

Thunder and lightning, as a torrential downpour is in effect, as I sit by the window or out on the porch, damn nice. Wish it happened more often.

I un-hook all of my electric equipment through the duration, but it's no real bother.

i don't like being wet, hence I'm not big on waterparks or swimming. I also don't like rain, but I love plain lightning and thunder.

Surge protectors are your friend. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_yes.gif

Yes, I really do like rain, not that it rains often in Bakersfield. So peaceful...and it makes everything so nice and cool and calm...not to mention the beautiful grayish tone of the overcast sky...rain is the best precipitation!

I have no problem if it rains because I don't mind being in it. You see a whole bunch of people run to their cars at school but I walk all casually.

Driving in pitch black when it's raining on a road with faded street lines is really annoying. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
I've almost gotten into a wreck before cuz no one could really see anything. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

But I do agree that rain drops can put you to sleep like a song puts a baby to sleep. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I love rain! It's raining where I live right now. I love the lightning and thunder, though, especially at night, because then you can see the lightspeed plasma. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_sleep.gif What? You're sleeping after my so-called rant? Gaaahhh! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/twak.gif

I live in western Washington State, where it rains almost every day. In the summer is really the only time where there is less rain, but there have been plenty of rainy summers here as well. In the winter, there is not nearly as much snow. Just rain.

After living here for a while and getting used to it, I must say I enjoy the climate. Whenever I take a trip somewhere like California, Florida, or Nevada, it begins to get too hot for my tastes. The humidity in Florida and Nevada at times can make it difficult to breathe, but that just be my body getting used to sudden changes. However, I really do like the air around here, cool and relatively humid, but not heat humid. Quite a difference to my breathing.

That and I sleep better when I'm a little on the cool side...

Vancouver winter == rain everyday.

That aside, actually I don't dislike summer rain. It sounds nice, it makes the weather cooler, and rain-washed grass smells the best.

Winter rain is horrible tho.

My house has a tin roof, thats not un-heard of.

And yeah, I have two nice surge protectors, one for my comp and one for all my gaming platforms, but that means jack when the surge comes through the cable connection?

the weather is fucked up where I live. Humidity + 95 degree weather = It burns the flesh! Come live with me for a while. You'll LOVE it when it rains.

One year it will rain and rain and rain and rain. Next year, sunny sunny sunny. Humidity is always high, it occasionally snows, and the temperature is random. When winter comes, I make sand angels and decorate my sand Christmas tree.... during the summer, I get to see snow which melts 3 meters before it hits the ground.

then there's the hurricanes and tornados.....

Absolutely. I even like being outside in the rain because of those features. The water feels nice in the ever-increasing temperature, and the soft sky color is soothing. A very good source of inspiration indeed!

I have woods in my backyard that lead down to a creek. I was down there taking pictures of the sunset over the woods and a gentle rain started. Such a lovely scene! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif In contest with watching falling snow reflect in the orange streetlamp from my window while longing for that special someone... *sigh* good times...

I wiped my comment on summer rain now.
It has been raining for 5 days, and I want it to stop. Make the sun come out, dammit!

Love rain. Loved living in Okazaki, with rain at least 2 days a week, and generally more. Hate living in Phoenix, with rain 2 days a season. We had a 391 day drought a couple years ago. That means NO rain that can be measured. It did drip sometimes, but the sun dried up the rain before it could be accumulated. Sad.

Actually, after heading back to Japan a few more times (assuming I don't end up getting a job out there and staying, which I'm not against, I justr like the US better), I'm really thinking of moving to Oregon, maybe a town like Newberg. Small enough to feel comfy, and large enough to have all the modernities of life. And the weather in the Washington/Oregon area means I get both sun and rain/snow! Woo!
