Misuse of the word

Do you think the NPCs in their little speeches mis-use the word Doom?

Like Memoru: "How about blood, or a visit to doom?"

Doom is not a physical place. You can't go to doom. You can 'meet your doom' and 'be doomed' but ain't no goin' there. Another NPC refers to it as something you can DO, and another refers to it as a particular spot.

Do you think it was originally meant to be 'hell' but they switched it so the NPCs wouldn't swear? (they censored that 'extra cranky soldier' from ep2) The way it's phrased makes it seem like they just went in and did word/replace on it. But why? Technically it's not a swear. And doom doesn't make sense anyway in the context they use it. "heck" would of sounded lame...but made more sense. Not that it doesn't already sound lame. Oh well...just a random curiosity, I guess.

The NPCs in Episode 3 say crap a lot. Since that's a censored word, kinda doubtfull. But honestly, I wouldn't put it past STupid for trying to kiddify it in some areas while completely ignoring others. They are humongous hypocrites, after all. Personally, I'd just blame the translators. Perhaps not quite on par with Zero Wing, but they sure know how to muck up a script that probably was pretty damn good in Japanese and turn it into this juvenile schlock we get in the engrish version. -.-

What cranky soilder in ep.2? I feel that evry time that an anime or game comes to america and it get into the hands of a translator it becomes screwed up( I remeber when I watched Yu gi oh and the guards caught a character in the castle the guards were suppose to be pointing guns at the character but they were pointing their fingers. It looked so dumb) I don't really remember hearing them say doom a lot in the game but in closing, azureblade, is psotnl.merlinwebs.com a site you created?
