For the past few days, it's either phone calls for Doug in ridiculous time in the morning, or like today, wonerful electric drilling at the precise moment when you are about to fall asleep again.

Gah.
It's been what, at least 4 days straight that I havn't been able to sleep properly because of this. It's extremely annoying, I am tired, and hence cranky and I have to fear if the same thing repeat itself tomorrow.

Sleep is not evil you know, sleep in just a right amount keep your brain happy and healthy... dammit, let me sleep!

Earplugs? No, really, they work for me. Either that, or if you sleep on your back, studio headphones work really well as well, and you can listen to music as you fall asleep to boot.

I dunno... my situation is that I can't fall asleep until five in the morning, and since I never have anything to do early on, nor does my alarm clock work or is there anyone home to wake me up, I don't wake up until later in the afternoon. Therefore I can't get to sleep until late. Rinse and repeat.

At the very least, if you keep getting calls for this Doug person at odd hours, unplug the phone while you're asleep. Not the best idea, but think of it as a last resort.

I dunno. I think someone is trying to take sleep away from me. It's either the phone, random drill, garbage truck, the post person (who still havn't bring me my DVDs yet http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif), ya know, a new thing everyday.

I must find out who is behind this conspiracy!

edit: no sleep makes spelling go BAM!

Take a load of valumes...oh but wait that'd probably kill you. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Just try your best....I've gotten my sleep times wacked up before, but certain events throughout the day can tire a person out...which in turn will almost force them to sleep. Like a day at the lake *rafting, tubing, skiing, and sometimes fishing*....almost makes you sleep like a baby when you get home. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Go to the store and get some "melatonex". That shit will knock you out and you have an extremely low risk of addiction. Of course, NyQuil is a better solution, only if you have a cold. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif You could try getting a CD player and some headphones with some relaxing music, that could work. It does for me. Nothing like listening to "A walk in the woods" by Bill Bryson (best audio CD, EVAR.) when I can't sleep.

I used to watch that one show with the guy who paints *white, afro dude*...god that'd put me to sleep even though I loved how awesomely amazing he could paint. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Btw, my sister does that whole listening to music fall asleepy thing. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif That'd just keep me awake........rain does the job better. I'd just listen to the ocean cds and some junk. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Of course I'm the type of person that can fall fast asleep as long as no lights are on and it's completely quite....or unless I'm flat ass tired. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

I've been having sleep problems too. I can't go to sleep until late, wake up at the right time, then fall asleep during the day.

I used to have crazy dreams, ones that never bothered me, but where weird. Now, I begin to have nightmares.

Soma anyone? That'd knock you out cold. But you'd need a prescription for that. Good stuff that is, though.

I would just lock myself in the basement/closet where it was nice, cool, dark, and mostly silent. That way most distractions are filtered out. Light wakes me more than sound, so you should see me run from the morning light like some sort of vampire when I'm exhausted.

ps: I think Bob Ross rocks too Darth Fomar. Few people could sedate me like him; a surrogate nurturing father figure he was. Also a great painter too, he made it all seem easy and natural.

Ah...that was his name, yep. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

I'm not entirely sure but didn't he pass away or something....?! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

I used to find myself on occassion listening/watching his show with the volume half down....it would only take a few minutes after watching his creativity and the numbingness of his voice and I'd be out cold like a baby. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

I am not having trouble sleeping, I am having problem with the people who like to make NOISE to disturb others' sleep. Ya, I am complaining about the stupid people who assume everyone is awake by 6am and want to know about their new telephone plan or something. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I realize living in a city means more noise, I just think an electric drill make more noise than a person can tolerate even living 10 floors away from where the drill is. ... Oh god I hate electric drills. *shudder*

Anyway. Ya DarthFomar, me thinks Bob Ross is a lovely afro angel painting clouds now. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Don't think you can do much about the drilling and stuff outside, but you could just disconnect the phone for a day or two...http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Now that I think about it... You're right... That show with the white FROmar guy painting was oddly relaxing...

It kinda makes me wonder if it can be attained on DVD for some odd reason.

No it was another guy!
The guy on TV with those puppet animals around him?
Or was that just me who saw that show.
He used permanent markers to draw perfect circles too! that guy on TV owns all. or at least all artists whom use permanent markers, probably a short list. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif
