60 years ago, the Allied invasion of Normandy took place. if you know a WWll veteran, shake his hand and thank him for his services for his country. if he has died, visit is grave. that's what i'm doing

Agreed.

My one Grandfather who died about a year ago served as a bombadier in a B-24. My other one was a grunt in the ETO, don't know much about him though.

Study and learn all you can about our wars.

Sadly, I don't know any WWII veteran to shake hands with. But, I could visit some graves...I'd have to get my mom to take me, or give me directions.

My one grandfather was marine infantry, and I can't visit his grave as it's in a different state right now, but I would if I could. My other grandpa was an Army combat engineer. I'd go see him but he's about 6 hours away and I have other things to get done today.

But it makes me remember this: freedom isn't free.
