Tuesday evening i got a chance to play on PSO on the internet, i didn't expect it to be very busy at all but it was quite busy, 2 of my friends were online and i met up and started to speak to Slayer and Snapple and my Dreamcast reset of it's own accord, naturally i was frustrated as this has never happened before, the same thing happened 10 minutes later as soon as i had gotten back on the server, but it happened to everyone in that lobby too. i thought my Dreamcast was being silly and i thought nothing of it and started a game on my own and decided to do rappy's vacation, i got quite far in it then somebody entered the game i was in and the game was locked and only i knew the password. this person was called something with Knightmare in his name and he started doing symbols of a devil sticking up his middle finger, then my Dreamcast reset again after he had said "bye bye".
and when i went to load my save later on i had lost everything in my item list apart from my equipped items. My only conclusion is that there is a Game Shark code to reset someones Dreamcast or multiple people. i have lost every single one of my earned items including my panzer's tail http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif but i could easily get that back by loading up my backup file but the last time i backed up was when i was level 59 and my HUmar was last on level 74. i am seriously annoyed about that but loading up my level 59 character seems to be my only option i guess http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

You'll lose even more stuff if you go online with a backup like that =>_>=

Heh, I feel for you. I have never had someone enter a game I set as locked, but nothing beats coming out of a quest with your hard earned item, and getting reset in the lobby. For awhile I thought it was my DC, till I found out it happened to the people also in the lobby with me. Quite madening really. My friend lost his Red Sword that way. Now, I am sure to not have important stuff on me when leaving a game, unless it can't be helped, and play in very under populated blocks.

Put the pieces into the slot, make the right connection, but be quick you're racing the clock, pop! goes frustration!

it's the only time that all of my items apart from the ones equipped got lost, i've learnt now to place my items in my bank before venturing into the lobbies. i've managed to replace my characters items thanks to a few of my friends online. but i can't ever get my panzer's tail back http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif
the word bugger springs to mind.
oh, and that back up character didn't work when i tried to connect to the server, so that proves my back up theory thing was not as good as i thought http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Sounds a bit like the bother my mate is having...

He gets around the lost itmes problem by way of this guy who can duplicate any itme you want, so he always has spares of his most important items just in case of emergency.

ummm its perfection not frustration. Hence the Milton Bradley board game titled "perfection"

I believe i was online too when that happened. I was helping a guy leveling up and then i got my DC reseted countless times, and the most frustrating part was finding him. What I didn't knew was that it was hacker's work. You'll probably find lot's of morons playing Gods with their codes, but the next time something like happens, I suggest you try changing servers several times.

Your Dreamcast didn't reset because of a damned hacker. It's a problem of the hardware itself. Mayhaps the hacker said "bye-bye" right before he was about to NOL you or something. Coincidences.

Oh btw... my DC did reset as well... I sent it to Sega, paid €55 and now its fixed... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif

No, it wasn't the hardware. several people at the lobby were complaining on this, as they had the same problem. Coincidences? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

My DC started resetting as soon as I played Virtua Tennis 1 by the 1st time. AND PSO is known to be a gdrom drive killer... ever been to a lobby full of people with version 2?

The particular problem this person is talking about happens online. It happens to lobbies full of people alot. It happened to me the last time I played online, and there was only one other person in the lobby with me, it happened to him as well. If you've played online enough and read the forum here, you'd know its a widely known problem :

Your particular problem might have been hardware related, but this isn't.
