I got DSL now!!! wOOt

I have been stuck on AOL 56k for as long as I have had a computer. But now, seeing my AOL was being a pain in butt, we ditched it. And we figured it would only be a little bit more to pay for DSL with Bellsouth. So excited... I can play online games with hardly any lag. Especially Diablo II LoD. And my favorite part is, I can talk and play at the same time... how pimp is that!... yEAAH

i dont use the internet at all, i just use my brain power to take me to sites and my psychic skills allow me to process all information, so DSL, AOL, Cable, Dial-up or any other thing....is just that...a THING, a thing of the past compared to my awesome psychic brain powers that allow me to surf the world-wide web and play PSO and other great games online;)

DSL is good, although sometimes the upload speeds can leave much to be desired, although that's all preference.

I dont like my cable around here, it's really bad, i'd like to switch to DSL--but def something with more then 128K upload...that just sucks!

They've been developing worse and worse lag over the last few months, with more and more server errors. My thought on the subject is that someone is paying GameSpy for the use of their servers, and I don't think they're getting the service that they're paying for.

Consider a family of 5, and everyone has their own computer. A 3000k connection would be just enough to keep everyone on the network surfing smoothly. A 1000k connection might be rather laggy with that many computers going at once. My brother-in-laws, for example, have T1-class DSL (the absolute maximum speed of DSL), and between the 4 computers they have active in their LAN, they commonly experience a little bit of lag. It's not really very significant (they've been able to add another two computers owned by buddies to play MMORPGs all in one house), but if any one of them is running a Torrent or two, then you can forget about having a fair duel in Shadowbane.
