View Full Version : Sky is falling?!

I saw on the news this morning that a Meteorite came zipping through the roof of some unexpecting families house, and it landed right on their couch.

It must have been a cold day in hell, cuz the odds of that happening are like one in a billion. Damn, I bet they wish they had that much luck with the lottery?! O_o

I have tried searching for an article about it on Netscape.....but to no avail. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?!

If I find a link I'll post it. Unless someone happens to find it first.

{edit: nevermind, found one}

I saw that article on Yahoo yesterday. That is quite a small probability. They also said they can sell it for like $6,000. How dumb is that? I'd keep that shit. Make a hood ornament for my car out of it or something.

I would sell it. What would I need with a rock? Now that is a odd little story. Makes me wish it happened to me.

That's twice. Here in Sylacauga, Alabama, a lady was hit by a meteorite while sitting on here couch one day. Now it's in the national museum. Yep, the odds are extreme.

PS: She wasn't hurt, just bruised.

You think THAT's odd?

At the place I used to work at, the president of the company had a nice little Chevy Silvarado that was kept at the plant to be used as a company truck.

Well, one day the guy responsible for putting the truck in the shop at the end of the day, well, he forgot to put it in the shop.

That night, the truck got hit with a small meteorite. It seared the paint, and left a very, very deep dent in the hood about the size of both your fists.

This happened the *one* time that Rich forgot to put the truck in the shop at night. Go figure.

i think i remember hearing about a meterite hitting a truck like that before >.>

You know, most of that $6,000 is probably going to roof and couch repairs http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Really, for me, it'd be worth a lot more to keep for my own than it would be to sell for $6k.

I work for my money, but it's not every day a meteorite slams through the roof and hits your couch, making you think "...wow...good thing we weren't watching Friends, huh?".

I want a metroirite....i would hang it up on my wall and say, "Dam...this is awesome..." as i exmanied it more i would say, "Hey this looks like that boulder that i shoved my PSO Mem card in then launched into space with one milllion balloons..." then i would dig threw it and find my PSO Mem card and say "Dude...i beat corruption..." and....i am extremely bored...

"I got a new sig"

"I am very proud"

Very, very odd. The odds of it actually happening are very slim......."I bet he was dumbfounded". http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Talk about some bad luck?!

Now, that guy has the *best* luck in the world....he should buy lottery tickets, seriously. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

If a meteorite smashed through my house, I would enshrine it and worship it. Screw selling it, I mean, how often does a chunk of space debris end up in your hands? I say it's a sign of sorts...perhaps.

Maybe it wasn't really really a meteorite, but rather a gigantic mass of human waste that fell from an airplane and crystalized in mid-air. If you didn't see Joe Dirt, you've probably labeled me as a complete freak right about ... NOW! But if you did see the movie, I'm sure can laugh alongside me. Laugh with me... buahahahaha.... buahahahahahaha

Holy........shizzle my nizzle. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_hamster.gif {closest thing to a dog, sry}

That would wipe out the entire planet *at least 80% of it*.

Only thing to do in a situation like that.....fold, tuck, and crouch........then kiss your ass goodbye. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif
