Strange Happenings

Alrighty, now that I'm in the correct forum, (I accidentally posted in EP3, since it said general, bah, who cares?)
My Bro was making a new character. He was creating a Force, human, male, firey costume, slicked back spiky hair, the white skin I believe. He then entered the name Lin as his characters name, pressed OK and it made a VERY strange sound.

Has anyone encountered this before? I thought it was just interesting.

I just tried it again, the only way I can describe the sound is "boo-weep" really high pitched.

The name that you must have typed in must have been to inapproiate for game use. Try a different name.

Except not...
I believe Lin is a censored word on the Xbox version.
Try a swear word for a name. You'll get the same result.

Yea, if you don't have an Xbox I guess it won't work. Bah, I'll bet he's using Gamecube.

I guess it must be censored, I don't play online, so I wouldn't know.

No, it does it on Gamecube when using a censored word as a name also, but the XBox and GC versions have different censor lists.

As for Lin being a censored word, I'm sure some Xbox player can confirm or deny it. Probably means something in another language.

Mixfortune, I just tried adding a curse word and it made the same sound. Thanks for clearing that up.

And De Rol Le.. as a Ranger... pity you are not online. I am guessing the Ranger is your main and most advanced character, since you are asking for tips. You should try to get a Shot, if you have any friend with PSOX that is more advanced than you, otherwise De Rol Le will take you a looooong time to beat. The fella has a lot of HP, and with a shot you could multi-hit it, making it quicker.

Not really. I always beat Del Rol Le way early in the game. Usually only in one caves run. I can usually kill him within 3 times of him puttin his at head up on the raft. Of course I've been playing alittle longer than him, and know what I'm doing, but like I said in the other thread he asked this in, good dodging is the key to victory with del rol le.
