Broadband Connection Problem

Ok, I don't know what's going on but I was able to connect online at my friend's house but I can't at my own now. When I try to log on, I get this message:

(No.015) Connection attempt failed.
Failed to retrieve IP address from DHCP.

I don't understand what's happening. It's the same information and everything. I have the ethernet cable, everything is set to as it was before, but it won't work for me anymore....would someone PLEASE help me fix this?

is this right..
you could connect at your own house OK, then you took it to your freinds, and it worked there too, but when you took it back home again it wouldnt work.

Are you using cable broadband?
have you turned the modem off then back on again ( re-set)?
