Piping is an offline-only trick to make rare enemies appear, and is done to aid in finding items which rare enemies may drop. It is done by finding the enemy you want to make rare (rappy, lily, hildebear) and then piping back up to town and back down again until the enemy changes to its rare form. Here's an example, I've done this one myself:

I needed a Red Handgun from a Pal Rappy, the rare form of El Rappy in ultimate. I got to a room with a ton of El Rappies in it, and then I cast Ryuker to go back up to town. I probably did that last step 30 times or so when one of the rappies became a Pal. I then killed it, got its drop, and walked away a very happen man who was one Red Handgun richer.

Piping can take a long time, so don't give up if it doesn't seem to be working.

yes there is, and people should start looking at the guides section and stickies before posting. There are way too many obvious questions floating around the forums that are easily answered by guides.

Yes its a major problem but alas people are to lazy to use the guides and sticky posts, but dont despair! It happens on all forums that are made for computer games.
