Before I sign off for tonight, I gotta apologize for the multiple threads I've been making lately... :S The crap I have to overcome to get online has been upsetting me deeply... So again, for those who have been following my posts, I apologize for my whining. Sorry!

On a different side now... With the BBA I bought, I got another memory card, so I now have enough to make a full 12-character family. Here's what it looks like, in order of class:

HUcast- Bluefull- (Hurrion)
HUcasceal- Yellowboze- (Verdance)
HUnewearl- Skyly- (Chibi Yui)- Lv 41
HUmar- Redria- (Deep Aqua)

RAmar- Whitill - (Quen)
RAmarl- Greenill- (Iona)
RAcast- Purplenum- (EL3K7R0N)
RAcasceal- Viridia- (Rane)

FOnewm- Oran- (Flammable)
FOnewearl- Pinkal- (Laxanix)- Lv43
FOmar- Redria- (Spherity)
FOmarl- Yellowboze- (Pure Light)

If you can offer any "that ID shouldn't be on him" or "one yellowboze is enough," I'll be extremely glad. Please... to some *cough*... none of that "Pinkal sucks" business... I don't plan to remake either veteran characters (Chibi Yui- HUnewearl and Laxanix- FOnewearl), as I have enough leveling at hand to do.

So that's for the ID part. I hope its not too big of a problem. The second part is this: one last thing I can do before my items die off- mats. My friend from America came over and gave me all his items, as he planned to quit PSO for good. I currently have seven characters' banks' worth of materials. HP, Power, Mind, Def, and Luck material... All sorts and what not. Any advice on how to dispense these materials would be appreciated (e.g. FOnewms should be pure mind, or FOmarl should balance between power and mind, and so on.)

Thanks guys. You dudes at PSOW DA bomb.

Mat usage should work like this.
Raise the lower stats, usually.
EVP is more under rated though, but I wouldn't use those...I find only RAmarl has usable EVP...

Like, HUcasts, if they had Hit mats in GC anymore,
would be use Hit mats instead of POW mats, because they have real low ATA, but very high ATP. You get it, right? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif
I don't like explaining these things, I often skip stuff. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Purplenum should be a "fleshy". Especially if you want the Psycho Wand.

I would switch the HUmar and HUcast's IDs (especially if you are going for a Heaven Punisher). You have a Redria that can pipe (one of your FOrces), so and Bluefull has a great Seabed which basically needs Jellen and Zalure.

About the EVP:
RAmarl, FOnewearl, and HUcaseal all have a very nice EVP (top 3 in the game). I suggest using the Max stat guides if you plan to get anywhere near 200, or I believe there is a guide that suggests the best Mat usage for non-level 200 characters.

Looks good, but if you ever want to do skyly tower (awesome drops) I would make a skyly ramarl, and switch greenil to a hunter. Remember, they will not be solo ID's, You should base class on what can hunt in different areas the best, not what you will find.

And I would definetely try to make a your fonewearl something with a good seabed. (bluefull)

I suppose. ATP could come in more combat use while the ATA only raises the general "usability" of weapons...

[to Ketchup & lain] 0.o aiii... this could screw it up a bit. And I thought I had this figured out ... >-<...

[to lain] Do you think its worth just leaving the skyly and adding another skyly (RAmarl), and restarting the FOnewearl? She's at level 41, and I'm not sure if one high-level Hunter will do the trick... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

If, assuming I followed both of your advices, it'd have to look something like this:

HUcast- Redria
HUcasceal- Greenill
HUnewearl- Skyly
HUmar- Oran

RAmar- Whitill
RAmarl- Skyly
RAcast- (something else...? what?)
RAcasceal- Viridia

FOnewm- Purplenum
FOnewearl- Bluefull
FOmar- Redria
FOmarl- Yellowboze

What do u think? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Just not sure about the RAcast... So to sum up corrections:

-Fleshy purplenum: check!
-Skyly RAmarl; Greenill to somewhere else: check!
-FOnewearl bluefull: check!

Thanks again!

Looks great. I'd make the racast purplenum, but keep the fonewm also. Racasts have an easier time searching in temple for a yas9k than forces do, and can overall clear areas outside of mines faster. But the fonewm will be wonderful for Psycho wand and mines.

Leave it at that.

Agreed 100% with lain2k3.

But I'm here to talk to you about material usage.
As has been said by others, use the maxing stats guide (I would strongly suggest FurryBagi's Maxing Stats Guide (http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=940)) BUT BE WARNED!

******************************************
THE GUIDE HAS ERRORS ON HOW TO MAX FONEWMS
******************************************
</end warning>

I'd also like to recommend that you not do much of what that guide says for your HUnewearl. The HUnewearl is a very unique class in terms of stats and has the most potential (looking at numbers) to go either way (magic or raw power), and that guide just sort of dumbs down the what makes the HUnewearl unique, in that it sort of goes for the middle ground stats and leaves the character kind of blech at level 200. SO I suggest you spend some time with paper, pencil and calculator before you start feeding a single material to your HUnewearl. Because the FOnewearl also doesn't get extremely close to maxing by using the guide, I would also suggest you mess around with FurryBagi's numbers until you find something you like.

Now, back to the FOnewm. I feel that copying and pasting from my compiled FOnewm stat post would be far too lengthly and somewhat irrelivent for this thread, which is why I'm opting to instead give you a link.

NAZO, CLICK ON ME!!! IF YOU DO NOT CLICK ME, RICOROYAL WILL KILL YOU. (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?mode=viewtopic&topic=85420&forum=7&start=0)

You can do yourself a favor and scroll to the 5th to last reply in that thread. (You should see it... it's the really long one with quotes within quotes and a smiley of a trout killing that mag ruiner, Miroku77). If your at all serious about your FOnewm, you will take the time and read every last word I wrote in that post (including the links included within the post, please). On behalf of all SHOES members, this is RicoRoyal, signing out.

[to Lain] Alright, another purplenum and El Finito!

[to Rico] And wow... 0.o... That's quite a mouthful on FOnewms Rico...

*shakes off wooziness*

OK, I suppose following Furry's guide is probably the best way to go. But one problem is, I will have to use a Purplenum or Pinkal in order to get those God/Abilities. Assuming that I will delete my pinkal FOnewearl for a blue one, that leaves me far from getting a God/Ability once more (since my Skyly will be busy on her own at VHard)...

Hope this works out somehow... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

But think, will you seriously get multiple charcaters to level 200? will you get a fonewm to level 200? If not, then a different material diet would be better.

http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif What are you saying, that I have no life? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif Seriously though, I'm planning to get around equally as possible, so, no. I assume that my characters will all be equally be somewhere around level 30, with the exception of the already mother-like figure Skyly HUnewearl.

If not, then a different material diet would be better.

Agreed. But still, I hope to eventually max out each character's stats- or at least get them pretty high. I'm not going for hardcore maxation, I'm just trying to make reasonably good use of the materials that I got before I lose 'em, that's all...

I suppose Furry's guide is more reasonable than using random materials in random numbers, so I'll dispose them in that manner... unless you have any better ideas?

Not saying my way is perfect but this is the best I can do for each character:

HUmar -
110 power
40 def
45 luck
40 mind
15 evp

maybe change the evade mats for mind? humars will actually want maxed mst.

HUnewearl -
75 power
30 mind
45 luck

their def and evp growth are fantastic as is, mst is nice for resta and tp, and learning techs faster.

Hucast -
105 power
45 luck

maybe some defense, but his max atp is ridiculously high.

Hucaseal -
70 power
35 def
45 luck

shit defense, lower max atp.

Ramar -
135 power
45 luck
60 def.

power is really all they have going for them. mst isnt worth trying to salvage, IMO.

Ramarl -
105 power
45 luck
30 def
70 mind

maybe some evp, but neither me or kef has figured out anything ideal. Uber resta is nice to have.

Racast -
105 power
45 luck

see hucast

Racaseal -
105 power
45 luck

lower max atp, but everything else is fine as is.

Fomarl -
90 power
35 luck
35 def
90 mind

lowest evp in game, this will max atp without a mag eventually, and you will want maxed mst.

Fomar -
100 power
50 def
100 mind

You really need to take advantage of this guys extra stats over fomarl to make him be any good at all, IMO.

Fonewm -
I wont suggest anything, seeing as rico will shoot me no matter what. I wouldnt suggest the max stats at level 200 diet, though.

Fonewearl -
150 mind

maybe some def, but her max mst is insane, and her most important stat.

Xaos127
Jul 7, 2004, 03:46 AM
for the RAmar
100 POW
45 LCK
30 DEF
75 EVP
their defense isnt really an issue at higher lvls especially with deband. And a good mag is 5/145/50/0 and id advise a Pushan.

Hoooooly bejebus lain! That's a truckload of work! *pats lain and gives him Big Mac coupon* http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Seriously, thanks a lot for that. I don't think I could've imagined doing that... Just one thing- I see LCK overlapping the 150 limit, but- refresh my memory- I'm assuming that the luck material works the same way as HP mats? (so luck and Hp both don't have to do with any of the other physical stats..?)

and Rico, thanks for that extra info again. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif I think I'm starting to get a grip on the FOnewm... hope to start with it first. I'm going with the
ATP: 59
MST: 52
EVP: 34
LCK: 5
that you posted in the other thread ever so generously. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

and not to forget, thanks for the tidbit on the RAmar, Xaos.

EDIT: Lain, if you're on a diet, maybe a new *puts on McDonald's creepy smile* Chicken Salad?! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif *holds out coupon* http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Not on a diet, i'm actually trying to gain weight. 5'10", 114 lbs...

And luck materials DO count towards your 150/250 total, making it hard on hunewearls. =/ not the same as hp mats, unfortunataly.

Ah! My bad, it was the miscalculation between the humans and droid/newman mat total...

While we're on max stats, I've got a bit of a problem. I started feeding my Fomar mats based off one of the builds in this guide
http://www.pso-world.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=1297
I took the time to make sure everything added up (as I think I noticed some errors), but now that I think about it I'm not sure if this is what I want to do. I think I may have screwed up already, since I've given him lots of Def and Evade mats already. Am I hopelessly screwed?

lain2k3
Jul 7, 2004, 10:36 AM
Yes, of course you are. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

but no, it depends. What level is he? if he is lower and you wouldnt mind restarting, evade and def mats arent hard to come by. You also may want to contact Ian for a second opinion on fomar mats.
