Has anyone else seen this film?

I thought it was pretty interesting.

It wasn't exactly perfectly to history of course, and there were some things that I think were way off (at the beginning it claimed that Arthur was a real person; a History Channel documentory the other week says he was probably a collection of other legendary warriors, this film interprets him as Arthur/Artorious or something like that, which is one of the people he is based on).

The movie was interesting, and I'm not sure if there was ever a boring moment. If you are into the midevil types of things, this is definately a film for you.

Ok, from the trailers, Kiera Knightly sounds like a robot. The trailers looked cool except when she opens her mouth. Is she as bad in the movie as she sounds in the trailers?

Really don't want to see it. However, the History Channel documentary sounded interesting, but I missed that.

Critics around the nation agree: go see something else.

My personal opinions on movies tend to agree (most of the time) with those of critics', and sadly, critics ain't liking Arthur one single bit. I will most definitely give it a chance once it's out on DVD, but tommorow, I got better things to do/see:

1. Win FKL contest
2. Celebrate by watching Anchorman

If I didn't have so much homework, I would also probably sneak into King Arthur, but seeing as how that's not the case, it will instead be on my DVD to-rent list. Word to the wise, if you do go see King Arthur, I hope you like it, but do not go in with high hopes. If you like it, great! If you don't like it, don't even think about bitching about losing your money at the theater. Thou hast been officially warned (moreso by critics, than by me).

When I actually SAW the movie...

I was glad that they avoided all of the Lancelot/Gueniviere/Arthur love triangle politics that made Excalibur far more drawn out than it had to be. IMHO it wasn't quite as epic as Excalibur, but it was comparatively good as far as action and story goes.

See it- only casts you $7 and 2 hours: what would you do otherwise?

Well, I just don't appreciate the fact that it appears to be just a standard action flick. You don't make a crappy action movie from King Arthur... you make an adventurous epic filled with magic and stuff.
