My precious photon launcher

Ok, i've wanted a photon launcher for ages now, but according to the site the only place i can get it is from vol opt in the mines on hard, i've tried this 11 times and still no photon launcher (although i now have an official stash of db's sabers) has any1 got any tips for me to get this thing (note: i don't have pso online)

either keep trying on Hard mode, or move on to VHard and get a Guilty Light. a far better photon launcher thats just as easy to get.

Yes, I agree. Photon Launcher sucks, although I must admit it looks better than Guilty Light. Depending on your level and progress through the game, I would suggest just going for the Guilty Light in V. Hard. Those boss rares can be quite annoying at times, simply because you have to go through the whole level all over again. Very time consuming, depending on your level of course.

I would suggest you just stick to it if you are that adamant at getting the Photon Launcher, I think it took me like 12 times to get the Guilty Light with my RA, so just keep going for it. Besides haven't you gotten any Secret Gears? Or is that in V.Hard mode.... I forget...

I got lucky. Im a Skyly and I got a Photon Launcher after I beat Hard Vol Opt for the second time. I think thr drop rate is like 1/16 or something so keep trying.

Don't listen to people who say photon launchers suk, personally, I don't use them that much, but they own De Ro Le... oh yea, get into a slanted angle and fire away. Look, Guilty Light is better.

As far as De Rol Le goes, I would say a Spread is easier to use and in most cases better. It might be a little slower, but they are easier to get, which means a better chance of getting % on HIT or A. Beast.

hey, u noticed that I said Photon Launchers. As in the whole class itself. Because I know someone was gunna post in this thread that Photon Launchers in general suk. I know Photon Launcher suks, but so does almost every weapon that is in a set. Like DB Saber, Varista, Flowen's Sword, ect....

btw, a shot can only hit 5.... launchers (which is what I shoulda called the class instead of Photon Launchers... oops) can hit ALOT more than 5 if you are at the right angle. Infact I recall almost hitting all of him that way.

I've only got v.hard caves at the moment :/ but i'll take your advice, i'm gonna ask my friends to watch out for a photon launcher when they fight vol opt on hard (and if they get it i give them a big wad of cash http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif) and in the meanwhile i'll get to v.hard mines and fight vol opt to try and get a guilty light (skyly *sigh*) so whichever i get first, i'll keep with http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

MegamanX mean't the Flowens Sword (Replica). Its a good first sword but like Varista, DB's Saber, Secret Gear, and several others, it doesn't even compare to any of the rare you find once you get to Ultimate. Yes, Flowens Sword 3084 Kicks butt, but lol it is NOT a "early" weapon you can use or find. FS, (with the req. ATP of 430) is a weapon you use for a while until you start finding things like Dragon Slayer and Last Survivor, then you use those for a while until you can use Red Parisan, Red Sword, Chain Sawd, and others that don't even compare to FS (Replica).

Very true. I used my early one weaker form of the FS until I got my hands on a Last Survivor. That was replaced by the Dragon Slayer which is now back in my bank and replaced by the FS 3084. Its a nice weapon, especially at its max grind.

Yellowbooze pwns. Mine has given me so many good items. I remember on my first run on Very Hard with my Yellowbooze he found Hildebears Head, Booma's Claw, Gigobooma's Claw, 2 Rappy Wings, and like 2 Photon Drops. I know, it was insane. I was talking with a fellow PSO'er on the phone when I was finding all that stuff, he nearly destroyed my eardrums with his hatred of my luck. On another run, my last run on hard (ruins obviously) I found 2 Delsabers Left arms, a couple Varistas, and a huge crackload of materials. I loovve Yellowbooze. (KRaven, I still use Last Survivor +31 instead of Dragon Slayer because #1: I like Last Survivor more. #2: My LS has % on Native, Dark, and Hit. Yay.)
