Ok, I'm thinking about getting FFXI and i just wanna know about that whole saving stuff. Is your character saved online? And how much does it take up on the computer, it's a huge issue with my parents. Thanks in advance.

MB? Tell me you're kidding... It takes up 6 GIG. and all characters are saved server, so there's no chance of corruption, and there is very little or no hacking.

OH geez 6 gigs. I guess I'll have to be a mamma's boy to convince her that 6 gigs isn't a big deal. Thanks for the info.

And does anybody know a way to convince parents that you're right, it would really be helpful if i had a lot of good ways to convince my parents that 6 gigs is nothing on a computer with 120 gigs. Thanks in advance..................again

First off, can your computer handle the game?

Yeah, you should check out the minimum requirements from the website. You need one heck of a hardware bundle to run this game. Only thing I need to buy is a graphics card. I'm goin for the ATI Radion 9200 http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_yes.gif

well my cpu is like pretty new and has 512 mb of ram, and 90 out of 120 gigs left, so i think i should have the minimum requirements, and if anyone knows the name of the website that would help too.

Well the biggest thing is your video card I think, that will make or break if you can run it. Now I don't think mine can, but that is because I am not upgrading this. I am getting a new college computer, go to run in the start menu and type dxdiag, then go to Display tab, it should be there.

I think the Graphics Card is the Video Card...

I could be wrong though...

Hit the Start button, and click Run. Then type in dxdiag and click the Display tab, as said before. It'll show your video card information right there.

...You can also right-click on your desktop, go to Properties, Settings tab, and click the Advanced button, then click on the Adapter tab. Also, with newer drivers from some companies, there's a tab with the name of your video card, you can slo go there for information.

Wow, Thanks for that link. I've been looking for something like that to test my computer out. I'm downloading that now. I'm probably gonna be getting an Ati card anyways, but it'd still be good to know if I can play or not http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

...Even though it's explained in a very clear and obvious manner.

*ahem*

Download this (http://dl.square-enix.co.jp/taru/FFXiB2Setup.exe) program, install it, and run it. It's a graphics test program designed to show you how well your computer can run FFXI.

Instructions rarely get more simple than that.

Download Sisfot's Sandra, it'll tell you every last piece of hardware and drivers in your system.
