Justified paying the full price for?
I have had a few. Like paying the full $79.99 for the cartridge of FF3 (6) on American release day, or paying the full $49.99 for Wizardry 8. I LOVED that game. Painkiller too. $39.99.

Anyone else have a game they felt that full price was well worth it?

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magic Obscura
Age of Empires II: Age of Kings

Personally, I didn't enjoy Wizardry 8 at all. I pre-ordered it, but once I played it, found that it was a complete disappointment. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

Phantasy Star IV was 99.99 when it first came out. I think I caught it at the bargain price of 89.99 http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif Even still, it was worth every penny. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Awe man that has to suck. I picked it up on Greathits because it too so long to find a store that had it and by that time it was "Hey 20 for FFT, sweet." Then went home and played it.

PSO has definitely given me its money's worth. I think I once figured out that I spent over $3,000 (surely, well over $4,000, now) on it. But for all the time I've spent playing it, all that it's given my wife and I to talk about, and all the friendships I've made because of it, I think that $4,000 is a small price to pay.

I never got to finish Arcanum... I think I accidentally erased a save file or something after I talked to whatshisface on that one island.

Turok for the N64...mainly because the game was like 80$ when I bought it, but it was worth every fucking penny.

Eh... vast majority of my games were worth every penny.

Until this generation... and the last one. Not that games necessarily got worse, just that with used games and cheap CD games, I've bought a lot more games these past two generations.

Ya, I never finished either, even though I was level 49, which I think is pretty close to the level cap. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif Hey, I've gotta do every quest possible to be at peace. My saves kept corrupting too, which was frustrating but not devastating, considering the fact that I save practically every 5 minutes. Don't know if this ever happened to anyone else, but I kept getting a glitch where I would load a save game only to find myself looking at a naked dude in a field standing next to a chest. Wtforks? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif But it was an awesome game, even if the bugs were plenty.

I practically forgot... I picked up an original cart of Dragon Warrior 1 at EB for $0.50. 'twas worth every penny. Now if I can only get my NES working again.

And if you cant get your NES working, just go pick up DW 1+2 for GBC. Still, NESes last longer than PS2s do.

...Raagh... *goes to wait for Dragon Warrior VIII some more*

Oh, and a N64 with Mario Kart 64.

The summer I got that thing, me and my three friend's days litteraly went like this...

8:00AM - At my friends house playing 4 player Mario Kart on his 60" tv.

2:00AM - Go home and go to sleep.

Repeat

There were some bathroom and food breaks too, but they wern't ever long enough to note individualy.

How could I have forgotten Ogre Battle 64. I picked it up brand new, sealed in the package for 24.99 when the store I worked for was going out of buisness. That was well worth the money for it. Don't you think so Prof_Frink?

With my friends and I, you could replace Mario Kart 64 with either Smash Bros, Goldeneye, or Perfect Dark.

Indeed
Finding someone who knows what OB 64 is can be hard. Still, those who like it, like it a lot.

I actually rented it 3 times, and stole it from my friend twice.

In my defence, those multiple endings and unique characters taunted me until i had them all >_>

I play the heck out of all the games I get, so I usually get my money's worth. PSO is no exception. And Starcraft was a rather good deal at I think $20 for it and the expansion.

I should be thrashed with a broken coke bottle for omitting Smash Brothers and Goldeneye from my list. Online gaming is fun, but nothing compares to beating the (virtual) sense out of someone sitting right next to you. I remember some incredible times at a friend's house with those games. And I also remember that everyone hated me for using Link all the time in SSB to his maximum "cheapness" potential. Mmmmm, and paintball mode in Goldeneye... *gets misty-eyed*

So many games, so little time. Well, not really.

Perfect Dark-$50
SSBM-FREE!!! (Christmas)
Silent Hill 3-$50
Timesplitters 2-%50
Soul Caliber 2-$10 NEW (Can't argue with that price)
Ratchet & Clank-$20
The Elder Scrolls 3-FREE!!! (Again, Christmas)
Ninja Gaiden-$50
PSO Ep.1&2-FREE!!! (Take a guess)
Animal Crossing-$50
Gran Turismo 3-$20
Dynasty Warriors 3 & 4-$100 total

Oh god, so many more...can't think! Oh well.

And just to add something else to this topic, the worst game for my money has to be Warcraft III. I regret buying that. Should have got something else. *Sigh* http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_disapprove.gif

How did I forget Ogre Battle? The variety of hidden characters and endings bestow great replay value on the game. I also just liked to yell "HAHAHA, DIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!!!" When my Archmages joint-casted Atmosphere for 300-400 damage on the entire enemy unit.

$19.99 for the original Zelda on GBA SP. PSO obviously, I just thinkt hat game was worth it, starfox 64, that game was really fun to play, and it had good replay value in my opinion, and if they ever have missile command come out on ANY sytem, buying that game would be the best I have ever spent.

I don't think I got that one, I'll have to go check.

I didn't have any Liches in my batallion, either. Almost all of my units had a Priest in them, so that explains it. And, in the mission with Leidel, I just walked around the back of the castle, and attacked her unit from behind. Hehehe.
