Illbleed, and Shinya Nishigaki

Not everybody may know, but Illbleed is one of my favorite games. The creator, Mr. Nishigaki, passed away in May and it was just recently made public.

His obituary, or the news of it, is posted in this Gamespot article right here: http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/07/12/news_6100692.html . Special thanks to Spike for informing me of it (I was away on vacation this past weekend), and I have an urge to work on this project like never before.

Well, it wasn't just that you were in the article, but that I knew you were a fan of the games. I figured you'd want to know. The man was a genious, and it's a shame of his passing. Illbleed is quite original to say the least. Somewhat of an acquired taste, but what it was trying to accomplish was quite compelling. The gore was at points hilarious, but also disturbing. It is kinda like Kill Bill, but also reminded me of Pulp Fiction, in the way of how the story is illustrated. Also it is an obvious spoof of scary movies from the 70's up to the 80's or even earlier than that.

(For the guys: You could play with the main character in nothing but her undies, if you did certain things right of course now I bet they all want to buy this game >: )

It is a shame that the creator has passed on, as sad as the time the original creator of Metroid also passed on... *sigh*
