Going online with DSL, need help

I tried everything that everyone suggested from Bellsouth and Sega to fix a problem with getting online...they seemed to be inept and not even know any actual SETTINGS with this thing, so I'd like to ask you guys for help...please http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif;;; ?

I can log onto Sega's Hunter's License server and just about every other site Sega has on the browser, but when I go to log onto PSO, it just sits there for a minute showing the lobby (after that Minhiro message thingy), and then quits after a minute saying my line was disconnected. I really have no idea (since you can connect to the HL page) but are you connected directly to the DSL/Cable modem or to a router?

hope fully this'll get moved to the tech support forum. at least there Rich_T will be able to help. He knows about all these things but a bit more information from your end wouldnt go amiss
