... Wah!! Thats a good idea to those things that overheat...

Isn't there some sort of Fan that cools off these things? I dont think it'll be pretty when the ice pack begins to presperate water... o.o;

How often does yours overheat? What do you normally do (pause what you are doing until it cools a bit?)?

I haven't had a problem with mine (but then I only have 2 things at most using it for now).

Nice idea though, don't forget, check the bottle for leaks and such every now and then, and it is probably a good idea to toss that back in the freezer when you aren't using anything online. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Watch out when the Ice pack starts warming a bit.

No, there is no fan inside the Linksys router, just a few dozen air holes on the top, and possibly the sides.

Before I bought a memory card, I used lay my GC on a bed of ice. I was a protective parent >_>

My Linksys is a piece of crap. It has a metal casing, so it over-heats faster. Port 1 is broken.... so is Port 2

I ended up throwing it out and doing the one-connection-at-a-time thing

Brings a new meaning to the word "Kool"!!! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Here, I have a super-powered fan. I think it's the kind from Wal-Mart.

That should work just as good. And it won't leak on anything either. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Heh. Kinda reminds me about a conversation i had with a friend last night. We were trying to work out if we could build a PC into a fridge to keep the parts cool. Also somewhere to keep Beer and Yogurts for long gaming sessions.

Reminds me of how my roommate decided how to keep my computer from overheating after playing Starcraft...

Using a fan to blow cool air from Ice onto the computer...

It didn't work, we bought a new fan.

Are the 'Beers and Yogurts' in question enjoyed together, or at separate times? This is new to me; just about as much as it is funny. XD

Bartender, I'll have a 2 shots of Bacardi Dark and 1 shot of Dannon Peach Yogurt!

Heh, similar thing happens to our DVD players. Watch a movie over 2 hours long and they overheat, misread the disks, and sieze up. So my dad went to a local electronics surplus store and bought a gigantic 5 inch fan with heatsink (PC fan is why I say gigantic) cuts a hole in the back of the entertainment cabinet, puts it on there and voila, no more overheating! (only cost like $4 too) Another good idea is to use old film canisters, you know, the plastic 35mm roll canisters, get them and put them under the thing that is overheating, saying it is light. It works great with DVD/VCR devices.
