I spent a FULL HOUR writing a rant about a childhood problem which I wanted to share with you guys, but when I pressed the "Submit" button, I got the "The forum does not exist" crap.

And my whole text went down the toilet.

What should I do? Copy it to a text file before submitting?

This isn't how a guy should post around here, damnit.

Damn, that sucks Jin.
Yeah, I suppose if it's going to be a long and meaningful post...Which you really don't wanna type again, do it in a text file first.

And maybe copy frequently. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

And then check my grammar. And also restruct the paragraphs. And, select a suitable ponctuation.

And sell it to some newpaper, since it went through so much trouble.

I've had a ton of long, well thought out and structured posts go bye-bye due to the website having gone down and all that, used to happen a lot, now it's quite rare.

I still just copy whatever I'm about to submit, just incase it doesn't go through properly. Better safe than sorry, right?

No, maybe the thing is just right, maybe the forums don't exist at all!

...

Few hours ago when I did a long post it said I wasn't logged in, even though I was. So, back. Ctrl C just in case. Submit. Done.

Use notepad. Then copy and paste. Should do it.

I hate that. I tend to rewrite my message quickly and generally it makes no sense when I do.

There's some button combination I still haven't figured out that works the same as hitting the 'BACK' button. Some times when I type, I hear a 'click' and the browser goes back a page. I hit the 'FORWARD' button and find that all my text is gone... -_-

Thus continual copying or writing in wordpad will work...

If that happens, I usually growl, hit the desk, and surrender to the darkness.

Write it again sometime.

Ya. It sucks. I have lost many of those posts to LJ's hellhole of darkness. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Alt + Arrow left or right

Aaaaaanyways http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif
I have only ran into this problem a couple of times. Most of the time when I have written out a LONNNNG post, the page refreshes. ;_;

Thats my excuse for never having long posts! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Also, sometimes if you press backspace, you'll also go back.

I dunno bout accidently hitting ALT & the arrow key when I type... but Backspace seems the most logical answer.

It seems that sometimes something happens to deselect your browser as you type and when you hit Backspace... you're fucked.
