should I bother with chainsawd?

i recently found a red partisan(0/0//0/30, might look for better) and im not sure its worth looknig for a chainsawd(or even a red sword). im a skyly hucaseal(lv 92, easy ownage of caves). ive checked out the stats and stuff but i just cant reach a conclusion in my mind.

Quite simply - yes. Shouldn't take too long to find it, and the gush special is very nice for androids.

You are an android, so definitly go for a Chainsawd. also, find one that has hit %, makes HP abosorbing better.

Go with the Chain Sawd now. Get online at some point, do C-mode, get S-Rank Partisan, fully grind it, add Gush special.

Yes, if you do hunt for a Red Sword,you will find alot of Chainsawds. Like everyone said the Gush special is great for Androids.

I second the comments above.

For any HUnter, a chainsawd is one of the best multi-enemy weapons there is, and I'd use one over a red partisan. But for an android it's even better, since it's so easy to gain life back with it.

I agree, partisans are slightly faster than swords. However, the gush special of chainsawd more than makes up for that (over a red partisan). I didn't ever say there was anything wrong w/ S-rank partisans w/ gush. I didn't even mention them. But yes I agree, those would be better (assuming no +hit%'s) than a chainsawd.

In my personal experience, I don't like the HUcaseal's animation with swords, which is why I'm using a Red Partisan at the moment. Most people don't seem to mind the sword animation (actually, I think most people prefer it over the male one), but I really don't like how you don't move forward much on the third swing. I have a charge partisan with 50hit and a chainsawb with 15hit. I use the Partisan for bosses and the chainsawb for basic enemys. I found 11 CS so they easy to find go for it.

I was neglecting my Skyly caves for a long time whilst I ran umpteen Towers and Ep. II runs.

Then, recently, I returned to the Skyly treasure trove that is the caves and rediscovered why this id rocks in the caves.

Red weapons everywhere and chain sawds dropping like easy money. Picked up several different good rares in the past several days running Skyly caves including a few chain sawds. Of course, my Racast can't use them, but I did pass them down to my hunters who will be able to use them eventually.

So, I now have a full complement of s-rank Partisans, Red Swords, Red Daggers, Chain Sawds, Charge Gigushs (50% hit), Charge Partisans (50% hit), Gush Gigushs (50%), and so on.

My recommendation? Go for it all. It's worth it. I'm having fun getting my s-rank weps, picking up rares in the caves, gaining levels (five to lvl 200!) and have a nice assortment of rares and non-rares to play with. Get 'em all! Why not?


IMHO, it's a lot of fun to play with different weapons in different places - just for effect. We were playing a game the other night, I think everyone was around level 195 or so, and the Fomar rips out a Crazy Guitar and starts slinging it around. Felt like I was back at a Who concert and Peter was going off again. It was way cool.
