Sketch Sheet (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/9270883/)

Random HUnewearl (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/9270939/)

These are two pages of stuff I found while I was packing. Both are done when I was half watching TV and half drawing. So. The Hunewearl is completely random and quite not my usual kinda girl. But in the end, I think she turned out rather okay.

Thoughts and stuff welcomed.

Did you "find" the inspiration?

Navi sketchies are always wonderful!

Very neat navi! the Hunewearl seems very familiar to me...Not sure why though! http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

This is quite interesting the way the eyes are in the sketches in the first one.
I like that sort of pencilling style on the second one. You can see the strokes but it remains uniform, even between the different colors. It makes for interesting looking art indded http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Well my opinions on HUnewearls are rather predictible so instead i'll say that i like the shading, though the way the hair billows out kinda annoys me. You've already acknowledged the hip proportion issue so i won't go over it here.

There is something else i wanted to say, but i've forgotten what it was.

Wait a minute...
Packing?
You're not moving away are you? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif

I'm with rubbish on this one (about the billowing hair)

To me it looks like all of the hair is coming from one side of the head in a sheet. And the spaces inbetween her hair where the wind tosses it reminds me of torn sections of thin plastic, thick on one end while a skinnier bit goes up and attatches to a larger bulk, with real hair I believe it would work the other way around, if not at all. (I've grown up in a family of long haired peoplez, guys and gals alike http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) Perhaps its just the angle of the picture, but thats a more in depth of what I see, thought you might rather have what is wrong with the hair than just, it looks funny.

Maybe I'm just ebing hypocritical again, but the blue haired HUnewearls chest looks somewhat.. unnatural? With that type of costume, the breasts are usually bolstered up, but here it looks like they are just managing to reach the red of her shirt, and yet being blostered from the bottom anyway http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Problably wrong about that, but I take it from her right hand side. One last thing, the light shining on her left arm really washes out the color there, it makes the arm look somewhat distorted(especially where her skin meets the metal ring leading to her forearm, it seems the skin rises up to meet the edge of the ring in a spike http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif). Other than that.. nothing else jerks my chain.

Pros.. For the first pad of sketchies, something about the style just suits my fancy, quite pleasurable to the eye, actually. And for the other hunewearl I spent so long writing the cons for, there are quite a few +'s as well. You where quite efficient with the stroke made in coloring this piece, keeping one consistant noticable direction through the entire thing, even through swapping of colors, kudos to you http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_yes.gif

The eyes also strike me, though one usually does not expect much from colorless eyes you really have caught a emotion there. Determined, and holding an air of authority comes to mind when I see her face. Sort of a regal bearin, but maybe I'm carrying that too far as well. At first glance the picture seems simple, and the coloring plain. But then you can dive into the depth and contours the colors shift into, leaving you with a much higher appreciation of the art afterwards. The last thing that is notibly unique, is being able to have the hair still have some of the flowing feel to it, with different strands and such. Most of the time, if not executed properly, it just turns out in a big blob(I'm speaking out of personal experience here http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_shy.gif)

So overall we have the unusual uniqueness we come to expect from you. Don't take anything I said against the pictures offensivly, for I mean no harm in my humble opinion.

Sagasu: You only proved me right in one thing I said:
My sketches are better than my ... non-sketches. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

No worries. This isn't anything that I'd be proud to walk around showcasing with. One of the reason being a large amount of the coloured one is worked under a low light condition, I did that one night, and looked at it the next morning saying, wtf is this? http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

So ya. I agree with there is quite a few things about this picture that isn't quite right, however, since I found it I thought I'd share it anyway.

I was watching TV while doing this. And we have this super duper dim light in the living room.

I am SO getting a new light. That light is practically useless!

Tis like a bird telling a snail to fly. Damn you and your easiness at creating such good art work.

The hair has always captivated my attention, you seem to give it life of its own, like the person is an added ornament to its own beauty.

You should find more sketches to post navi.

I don't throw sketchbooks away, but sketchsheets become too much to keep. I mean, this time we moving, I counted, we have at least 40 boxes. And just boxes, not even individual items.

So. I kinda had to. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Wish I could draw like that.. I'm only good at boring things like school and languages and stuff. <_<;
